Pros:

My husband and I came here for our honeymoon 4 years ago and we loved the old retro style, even although it’s been updated there are still touches of the old Knipoch around and the staff are so friendly!

Cons:

The rude woman who insisted her dog should be in the main dining area instead of the separate eating area for people with dogs. She was rude and behaved in an entitled way, the staff handled it well, however by allowing her to do this it means that

Simply stunning
Pros:

Absolutely beautiful country house hotel in a simply stunning location. Extremely comfortable rooms with lovely bathrooms. The staff were very attentive and helpful especially about attractions in the area. We loved our 3 night stay.

The hot tub was not working. However, the hotel staff did a good job in keeping us informed.

Room was an adequate size for the short stay over. Bathroom was spacious and met needs. Both rooms very clean and tidy. Staff warm and welcoming. Bar area was nice and reasonably priced drinks.

Flot hotel, uden passion.
Pros:

Smukt hotel i den skønneste del af Skotland. Rammerne er gode og noget af personalet forsøgte at give god service.

Cons:

Vi havde valgt steder for at fejre en særlig aften og vi havde booket bord i den gode restaurant. Og forudbetalt et stort depositum. Kokken var desværre blevet syg, vi fik intet at vide ved tjekind. Men de havde flyttet os, så vi fik et bord i morgenmads restauranten, ved et meget slidt og beskidt vindue og udsigt ud til noget affald. Det var koldt og servicen elendig. En busfulde amerikanske turister fik dog plads i den hyggelige restaurant med pejs.

Tydeligt at det er en hotel kæde hvor personalet ikke har passion for stedet. Da der kom ansvarligt personale på arbejde dagen efter fik vi en ordentligt undskyldning. Derfor giver vi ikke en anmeldelse der er dårligere end denne. Men vi kommer aldrig til at bo her igen. Vælg hellere et af de små familieejede steder - der er servicen i top.

Beautiful Welcoming Country House
Pros:

I so enjoy the ambience of the Knipoch! Friendly welcoming staff. Location convenient to Oban. Enjoyed drinks in the beautiful drawing room & dinner in the restaurant. Bedroom is tastefully decorated. A very comfortable nights sleep with quality bedding which we needed after touring the area.

Exceptional hotel and looking forward to visiting again.
Pros:

Everything. Location, staff, food, accommodation. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and paid close attention to my dietary requirements. Food was amazing.
