Probably worth paying more to go elsewhere
Pros:

Staff were very friendly and welcome. Also willing to help us and answer questions.
Location is also quite good for the metro or the sea front.

Cons:

In my life I have never experienced a warmer room. I still can't understand it. We stayed in mid September and it was around 15-18 degrees. The window was open all night and yet the room was a sauna. No fan provided however when we asked the receptionist she went out her way to source us a small one. This made a small improvement. I can't even imagine how bad this hotel is in peak summer weather.
Hotel as a whole is also quite outdated and I wasn't impressed by being offered instant coffee sachets alongside a pot of hot water as part of my breakfast.

Night away in Whitley Bay
Pros:

Clean comfortable room in a great location. Staff were really helpful.

Hotel is a bit dated now but great value because of it.

Unfortunately no lift but we were forwarned and put on the first floor.

Uncomfortable, hot, far too expensive and would never stay there again.
Pros:

Just that it was to the Metro Station and parking

Cons:

Everything else, the room was too hot, windows broken and dirty. It was really noisy, could hear all the other residents. Lumps under the carpet, really dirty carpet.
Uncomfortable bed, back ache and cracked everytime you moved.

Not a good experience
Pros:

Location, hotel was average and served a purpose

A few niggles but overall reasonable value for money
Pros:

Convenient location!, friendly staff. Overall good value for money

Cons:

Room was very hot even though no heating on, sash window only opened 6’’ for security reasons but would not stay open, it had to be wedged open with a loo roll. Decor dated and even had round pin plug sockets , no USB plugs
The hotel lift was not working but I was notified of this by booking agent, however it has been out of order for some while

Great hotel, staff and location, will visit again.
Pros:

Great location, beach was just a minute away. Friendly staff, willing to help. Dog friendly. Good value for money. Town centre is really close with shops, pubs and restaurants/takeaways nearby. Will definitely go back again.

Cons:

The area is a little run down. The hotel is showing it's age a bit. The closest beaches aren't dog friendly during peak season but the dog friendly area is not far. I don't really want or need to say anything else negative as I really enjoyed my stay and will go back again.

Night away
Pros:

Excellent location for both town and beach. Lovely Italian restaurant straight across the road. Good food and value for money. Receptionist is very helpful and pleasant. Hotel reception area is very tired. But the rooms are clean and comfortable. All you need for a night away. Will be returning.

Cons:

As we only sleep there. Can't say that there was anything we didn't like.

Great welcome and stay
Pros:

The staff were so friendly!. The room was very clean and the bed comfy. Plenty of hot water for a bath or shower. Breakfast was great although would have preferred fresh coffee and juice instead of instant coffee and juice boxes. Had a really good stay.

Cons:

Instant coffee and juice boxes at breakfast. Would have also liked blackout curtains in the room as there was a lot of light coming through at night.
