Secure and the available amenities were excellent. The kitchen was well stocked with the equipment I needed for the cooking I did.
It took quite a while for the water to get hot. You just have to plan ahead.
I arrived at this hotel hoping to get some rest after time at the shipyard, but unfortunately my stay was very disappointing. The room was affected by a loud installation or mechanical system on the first floor, which I believe may have been ventilation. When I later wanted to take a shower, I found that the bathroom had not been properly cleaned. There were many hairs from previous guests, and there was no shower gel or shampoo provided, only bar soap. After looking more closely, I also noticed hairs around the sleeping area. The next day, I wanted to go to the pool, but the doors did not open properly. A second door appeared to be broken and had a note saying not to use it. I also noticed that the handles on a white door were very dirty and dark from use. At the pool, the chairs had soft mattresses that seemed to be left outside overnight. Because of the rain, they were wet, so even placing a towel on them did not help much. After the second night, I decided to leave the hotel early. I found a bug on the floor and something what looked like mold on the curtains, and dust inside the hair dryer. At that point, I had had enough. I preferred to sleep with some noise on a cruise ship, which, despite being around 15 years old and having far more passengers, was in much better condition than this hotel. Overall, this was not the restful or clean stay I expected, and I would not choose to stay here again.
Also as note : You need to pay for the wifi, it is free in the hotels where ive been to in Freeport. You get also limitation on the device cout. The Internet is limited to 20mbit and there are times where the lattency is huge.
Good spot if you want to hang out at a pool or balcony but not really a resort. The first picture seen on tripadvisor is deceiving - that is a painting behind the pool, not a bay. Located on the canals with boat docks but no other water views. Motel style with exterior doors to units but our 2 bedroom unit was clean and comfortable. Thin walls - could hear footsteps and voices from other units. Good (mostly shade) balcony. Free shuttle to a grocery store 2-3 times per week, and free shuttle to 1 of 2 beaches almost every day. Renting a car from the desk is very easy and about the same cost as a couple taxis per day. Outdoor pool tables under a canopy. Drinks at bar ok but better elsewhere. Food in their restaurant was fine. Not much else going on.
This is the biggest scam ever! The place wasn't bad, food at the restaurant was good. However they will try to rip you off every second you are there. The staff lied during a timeshare tour and some man named Tim also is a con artist! Be careful and please beware!!!!!
The size of the room was great. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was clean with all the equipment needed. The location is good, and we liked the combination of hotel and yacht club. The pool next to the bar and terrace is nice. The quality of the food. Family-friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
The staff in the restaurant was rude and not guest-friendly. The waiter was very pushy during our dinner and not very kind, and the food was served at different times, so we didn't enjoy a meal together. The breakfast waitress didn't show any initiative to help out when we asked for milk, like checking in the kitchen. Rather stiff in her approach towards us.
Great resort located in Freeport, Bahamas. Staff is amazing and very helpful. Resort is clean and well maintained. Resort is located close to amenities and has many amenities on site as well.
The view of the canal from my verandah. It’s so relaxing.
The property is a bit out to date. The toilet and the room
Room was very clean and all linens were fresh and smelled fresh. Very comfortable.
Paid WiFi was a turn off.
In this modern society, this must be a part of any package, especially considering teh room rate.
We stayed in a three bedroom on the opposite side of the main building. The pool had hundreds of tiles coming up and had to walk on them. The place we stayed in had cobwebs, a bunch of the light bulbs didn't work, stove fan didn't work, the floor was filthy (your feet week black after just walking on it in a few minutes), some of the lights came on whenever they felt like it, and the shower in the bedroom on the bottom floor was very small. Also, the fridge has numerous shelves and glass broken. People on the boats were very friendly along with the staff.
Cleanliness not up to par, many things broken or did not work. Pool ceramic tiles falling off and laying on bottom.
Did not get a chance to eat brrakfast
Didnt find any fault, the security staff was very nice
Loved the location of our 3 bedroom unit (412) looking at all the yachts and sailboats in the marina. Very friendly and helpful staff right from the beginning to departure. Enjoyed full entertainment program when we stayed in Nov, 2024. Evidence of ongoing maintenance while we stayed. Loved having the shuttle to the grocery store for essentials as well as to the beaches.
Resort is in a great location, friendly staff, clean updated room, and food at the restaurant was very good. We didn’t have the best of weather so we enjoyed the big hot tub and the convenience of dining at the restaurant. Portion size was enough for multiple meals. We had the fried snapper, mushroom linguine and shrimp alfrado. We also rented the kayaks and enjoyed watching the boats at the marina. Security gate personnel were all so kind and helpful when we had questions about places to go see on the island. We cooked a lot to save on food cost, everything worked well and the kitchen had all the bare essentials. We didn’t find the bed to be overly comfortable and the water doesn’t stay warm for long so the nice oversized bathtub that I was so excited about wasn’t as enjoyable as I had hoped because by the time you got the bathtub full the water wasn’t hot. We did enjoy that the tv in the living room was a smart tv so we watched a handful of Netflix movies and watch our local HS basketball game on YouTube. We probably won’t go back to Grand Bahamas as we had a hard time finding enough things to do, but we would stay at this resort again!
