Lovely area, staff very helpful.
I was disappointed with the food. Ordered the steak, which wasn't the best quality or quantity. My wife had the Thai green curry, which also had poor quality meat, the naan bread was dry and hard, and the chutney was poor quality. We would stay again but wouldn't eat there, which is a shame.
Clean great location
For the price breakfast could of been included
Nice hotel in the center.
The location of the hotel was excellent, although the parking was an issue. We only managed to park once in three nights in the hotel car park. It's very hard to put anything positive about our stay as there were several issues about the stay and the room itself,
Checking out was definitely the best part of the stay. The beauty of th
1) The welcome at the start was far from friendly and the hotel reception was rarely manned. No one actually gave us any information on our arrival, apart from the keys.
2) The room's cleanliness left a lot to be desired with a dirty toilet rim, mould on the side of the bath and at the bottom of the bathroom wall adjoining the door.
3) The so-called wardrobe was a converted bookcase with a rail as narrow as the bookcase which only allowed for three or four items of clothing to be hung.
4) There was no proper chest of drawers and all the available drawer space could only accommodate underwear rather than shorts and T shirts without being folded into four.
5) Showering was a major hazard as the shower mat was not big enough and there was a definite risk of slipping getting in and out of the bath. No bath plug.
6) Second floor rooms meant an exhausting walk from the end of the car park and up two flights of stairs.
7) Front bedroom very noisy from the busy main road
8) Bedroom lacked any style and very cramped. Stains on the wall.
9) Breakfast not included at rates of £140 per night. Definitely not value for money and frankly a discounted price would not have made any difference to the stay.
10) In 30+C of heat for the whole four day stay, no air con and one fan on one side of the bed was insufficient to cool the room. At least it got us up and out as early as possible.
Full of character, great location
Excellent location. Traditional English pub/hotel with lovely bar and restaurant
Nothing
Lovely breakfast nice clean room staff were excellent
Clean but Very dated.
Disjointed building
The general ambiance, "feel" and charm of the place; Location + ease of access to the town facilities; The bar area, inside and outdoors; The unobtrusive presence of the proprietor, yet engaging and conversationally interesting, and touched a chord with us with her South African connection; The guest parking area.
We felt totally "At Home".
Nothing!
Location was great for a trip to the Cotswolds and accessing the locality.
No breakfast option. Rooms were pretty basic. Just about felt ok to stay here...

A fantastic place to stay! The hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. The room was spacious and very clean. The customer service was exceptional, and the location was perfect for sightseeing and dining. Great value for money.
This was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had. The hotel was clean, quiet, and beautifully maintained. Every member of the staff was kind, attentive, and eager to help. The facilities were excellent, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would happily return in the future.
