OK hotel in great location
Pros:

The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to the main harbour. It is a charming old place and the rooms are all unique and a mixed bag. Our king room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Car parking available for our hire car.

Cons:

There was no coffee and tea facilities in the room which would have been helpful. There is no lift but there was a man on hand to help lift bags up the stairs. There are approx 15 steps up to the hotel then steps up to level 2 and 3, and also down to the cafe. Not wheelchair accessible.
The Manager is a little rude/invasive and does not know information regarding the area. He advised us we would not get a 5 seater taxi and it is very expensive, but we did and the fare split 5 ways is not expensive. He also dissuaded my 82 year old mother not to go on the horse and cart ride as it was expensive (even though we were splitting it 5 ways) and told her to walk it instead (which she is unable).

The James Bay Inn restaurant/pub downstairs is a good atmosphere but the meals are horrible and overpriced and the waitress was snarky and condescending.

Pros:

Amazing location in historic downtown. Easy walking distance to main attractions love this historic building in a picturesque neighbourhood complete with horse and carriage passing by regularly

Does not have AC however was a fairly warm day and was comfortable in the room

Clean and comfy great for a short stay. Great value.
Pros:

Great location across from Beacon Hill park. Very clean and super friendly staff. Pub food was very good, better than I expected. Our room and amenities were basic (we were only ther for one night) but super clean and comfy mattress and pillows. On site free parking is great.

Lovely hotel & exceptional service.
Pros:

The hotel was lovely & we loved the close walking proximity to the beautiful park & downtown Victoria. The staff were very friendly & incredibly accommodating.as we didn't arrive until 12.45am given our late flight from the UK. The breakfast in the cafe below the hotel was also delicious. Great service all round & would definitely stay again.

Cons:

Lack of lift is problematic but it is an old building so understandable.

Séjour de 2 nuits agréable
Pros:

Très bien situé, nous avons visité Victoria à pied, le parking gratuit de l'hôtel était vraiment très pratique
Le restaurant de l'hôtel était très bon aussi bien pour le petit déjeuner que pour le dîner et le personnel très agréable et serviable.
Nous avons apprécié le calme et la literie était excellente

Cons:

Pas de bouilloire ni machine à café dans la chambre, il faut sortir, le café est proposé à volonté devant la réception

Relaxed , friendly stay in great historic location
Pros:

We stayed in one of the suites. Loved the location, historic vibe, and beautiful ,well kept gardens surrounding the hotel area and suites. Great restaurant and community pub. Excellent access to major roads if have car.
