Charming
Pros:

We had a delight stay. The staff were very helpful, the rooms clean, the beds comfortable, and we loved the charm of the balconies. We highly recommend staying here as it is a charming place walkable to all the sites.

Gute Lage, gutes Essen
Pros:

Super freundliches Personal an der Rezeption und im Restaurant. Ruhige Lage, trotzdem ist man in 10 Minuten im Zentrum. Das Essen im Restaurant ist sehr gut und reichlich.

Cons:

Unser Zimmer war etwas abgewohnt und hatte deutliche Schräglage, die Dusche war sehr eng.

Ruhig, sauber, aber nichts für große Menschen
Pros:

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral in einer ruhigen Gegend, Parkplätze gibt es genug vor der Tür und dem Hof. Internet ist sehr schnell, einziges Problem ist das extrem kleine Bett. Es ist höchstens 1,40 m breit und auch nur 1,90 m lang. Ich bin 1,92 m und habe wirklich Probleme in so einem Bett zu schlafen. Ansonsten gibt es nur Gutes zu verwenden, auch wenn die Einrichtung alt ist, so ist es doch sehr sauber und das Personal sehr nett.

Historisches Hotel
Pros:

Altes victorianisches Haus mit nostalgischem Flair.

Cons:

Das Zimmer Petite ist wirklich sehr petite. Für unseren Geschmack war das Hotel zu altbacken. Das Hotel teilt sich den Parkplatz mit dem Restaurant, somit ist ein Parkplatz je nach Uhrzeit schwierig zu bekommen.

Pros:

Lo stile Vittoriano della palazzina dentro e fuori, la stanza molto pulita la posizione in un quartiere grazioso e vicinissimo al centro ed il personale cortese, accogliente e preciso nel servizio.

Cons:

La stanza era piccolina con il lavabo nella stanza da letto, per una notte benissimo magari se si pensa di soggiornare più notti valutare una stanza un po' più spaziosa.

We loved this charming, unique, comfortable inn & forward to returning soon.
Pros:

Excellent location & staff; great breakfast cafe downstairs; fascinating history, especially re: wonderful PNW artist & writer Emily Carr (she spent her final days there, & her childhood home & quirky boarding house are nearby); charming interior; comfortable beds; extremely clean; located in quiet, interesting historic Victorian neighborhood yet within easy walking distance to park, downtown, museum, & major sites. Secure bike shed.

Cons:

This is not a complaint, just a head’s up for people looking for more conventional lodging: Some rooms have a different layout because of inn’s age — eg, the standard queen was excellent while the petite double had a double vs queen bed & unusual bathroom layout — but we were very happy & comfortable with both. Larger people may want to confirm space.

Pros:

Die Unterkunft war sehr gut gelegen, um in die Innenstadt und zu diversen Sehenswürdigkeiten zu laufen (15 min bis Innenstadt ca). Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hat bei jeder Anfrage gut ausgeholfen. Auch ohne Frühstück (für Aufpreis verfügbar) gibt es morgens kostenlosen Kaffee.
