The location was great, and the staff was amazing. Good for a short stay, we picked a junior suite so not sure how big the other rooms are, but ours was good for 3 people.

Dog friendly, very clean, close to Darling Harbour, Room service food and service was excellent, Breakfast was also very good. 24 hour reception is nice. Great pool area. Great KS bed, good TV.
$65 a day for basement parking not mentioned upfront. Pretty small room. Thought it was closer to main Darling Harbour area than it was. Had to climb a lot of steps to get to Darling Harbour Restaurant precinct. Not cheap but glad they accepted our dog.

The staff were exceptional and looked after our family very well. We stayed for fathers day and the simple touch of giving my daughter a stuffed kangaroo and a colouring in kit was so appreciated. The staff went above & beyond and even allowed us to go swimming in the pool while we waited for our room to be ready. Fantastic service!
I wouldn’t recommend Crown Plaza to families based on my experience. It may be suitable for someone travelling for business who needs a quick stopover, but even then, I found it far too expensive for what was offered.
When I made the booking, I spoke with Brendan, who was helpful as I had an issue with the reservation. I booked for three people but initially received confirmation for only two, including breakfast. Brendan advised me that upon arrival I would need to pay $75 for the additional person, which would cover the extra bed, while breakfast would also be included for the additional guest.
Unfortunately, the confusion continued when I arrived. The receptionist initially had no idea why she was charging me the $75 and told me it was for breakfast. I explained that I had been told the $75 was for the extra bed, while breakfast was separate for the additional person. Eventually, she acknowledged that I was correct, but there was no apology or acknowledgement of the inconvenience. A simple note on the booking could have avoided the whole situation.
The room itself was clean but very small and nothing particularly special for the price. I paid around $580 in total, and honestly, I felt it was not good value for money. The bathroom also wasn’t properly cleaned — there was leftover hand wash around the sink and it clearly hadn’t been wiped properly.
The following morning at breakfast, there was another issue. The staff initially told me breakfast was only included for two people. I again explained that I had paid for the additional guest. After checking, they eventually came back and confirmed that I was correct. By this point, it was becoming quite frustrating to repeatedly explain the same thing.
As for the breakfast itself, I found it very average. I have stayed at several five-star hotels in Sydney and experienced much better quality and variety. I asked for a sunny-side-up egg, but the first one was almost raw while others were overcooked.

Sehr gute Lage, die Oper, die Harbour Bridge, Haupteinkaufs- und Gastrostrassen sind fussläufig erreichbar. Die Lobby und das Restaurant sind sehr einladend, das Personal sehr freundlich. Schöner Pool im obersten (Hotel-) geschoss.
Die Zimmer sind etwas oldstyle. Unsere gebuchten Zimmer mit Stadtblick boten einen trostlosen Blick in einen Hinterhof mit Garageneinfahrt. Man konnte genau bis zur 4 m entfernten dreckigen Hauswand blicken. Um zu sehen, wie das Wetter war, mussten wir das Hotel verlassen, das Zimmer war bei Sonnenschein genauso finster wie bei Regen.

Did not have breakfast at the hotel as needing to leave early (earliest available breakfast was for 0700).
Great location in CBD.
Good availability of food (on site restaurants which opened until late) as well as selection on room service.
I really appreciated the use of QR codes for the mini bar as well as the recyclable bottles left in the room to obtain free water, saving on plastic.
Though I did not use it, the heated infinity pool was very tempting!
There was cutlery from the room next door left on the floor just outside my bedroom door in the morning! Not the fault of the housekeeping staff though I didn't see a tray nearby.
