うるさかった。
The room was really nice, with a kitchen inside. The hotel is just above the mall, so easy access to any store you want. The staff was nice (polite, but still Korean :) ). The view was really neat with the tower just in front. All in all very nice place.
Swimming pool was not amazing.
We booked the two bedroom and it was quite spacious. The suite was fully equipped with a full kitchen including dishwasher and a washer/dryer. All the detergents were available as well.
The suite was clean but definitely could use an upgrade especially in the shower.
We did order room service once during our stay, and the price doesn’t justify for very average food.
The playroom was a nice touch and both our kids (age 5 and 2) loved it.
The location was very convenient with lots of restaurants, coffee shops and spa. Access to Coex and Starfield are directly through the hotel. Lots of stores. Check out Hyundai for beauty stuff as it’s significantly cheaper and there’s additional discounts. Don’t forget to take your passports.
Overall, it was a good stay and we would definitely stay again.
Location, location, location. Nothing else can be said about the location. It is situated in one of the most amazing locations for our family's lifestyle. From ease of access to the subways, shopping and supermarkets, this is our family's go to property.
Age. But it has aged well. Housekeeping could have been more meticulous but since this is a long stay apartment, I have a feeling like they are trying to tell guests "clean as much as your living habits dictate". Look at the light hanging above the dining table, on top shelves in the kitchen, etc. It is a germaphobe's nightmare. We spent a whole day cleaning. I suspect the air filters are changed less frequently than they should. But at the end of the day, the pros still beats the cons.
A shame we only stayed one night at the hotel as it was a lovely place to stay and a great location in Gangnam. The kitchenette was more equipped that some people's kitchens and it was a lovely room.
Jun on reception was very helpful and wanted to make sure we had everything we needed for a lovely stay. Also Steve on concierge was incredibly helpful right ip to putting us in a car to the airport.
Stay Duration: 6 nights
Pros: The rooms were decently nice, but that’s where the compliments end.
If you enjoy being nickel-and-dimed by a supposedly premium hotel, then Oakwood Premier Coex is the place for you. For anyone else? Avoid this place.
The "Premium" Room Disappointment
While the rooms look nice at first glance, they are incredibly under-appointed for a hotel of this caliber. They provide the absolute bare minimum to get by.
During a week-long stay, the frustrations really started to pile up:
No USB chargers anywhere in the room (in 2026, this is ridiculous).
No bathroom scales.
No milk provided with the complimentary tea and coffee.
The 32 AUD Milk Scandal
The absolute kicker happened at checkout. Because the room lacked basic milk for the tea and coffee they provided, we called front desk and asked them to bring some up. We assumed this was standard hospitality.
It wasn't.
At the end of our holiday, we checked the final bill and discovered we were charged 32,001 KRW (roughly 32 Australian Dollars) just for the milk they brought up. Charging over $30 AUD for a splash of milk across a seven-night stay is an absolute, daylight-robbery rip-off. It’s not about the money; it’s the sheer principle of petty greed.
Final Verdict
The lack of basic room features like USB ports and scales was annoying, but the petty hidden fees left a truly awful taste in our mouths. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else that actually understands the concept of hospitality. I would not recommend staying here
I really enjoyed my stay. Jane,Cindy,Kelly, Rosie good
We stayed for over two weeks and had a good experience. The room was spacious, clean, and equipped with necessary appliances like a dishwasher and washing machine. The open view was nice, and I especially appreciated that the hotel is dog-friendly — they even provided a stroller for our pup! The staff were consistently friendly, with those working on the ground and first floors being particularly pleasant and welcoming. The location is convenient, offering direct indoor access to COEX Mall and the subway, Overall, it was a happy stay.
Simply put, superb! Sooooo kind staff, Ethan thank you very much for the welcome tea and all the detailed information. Of course I love the room and equipment.
Location and staff were very kind
