The staff
The room we rented was with three queen beds but the A/C didn’t reach all of us
Front desk manager Gloria greeted us with a smile a was very informative to the questions we asked of her. Had a problem with one of our phones and here comes Gloria to the rescue. PLEASE, give this woman a raise!! Besides the superb customer service, the room was clean and comfortable. Thanks Gloria for all your help.
The Avania Inn is an excellent hotel situated a short walk from the Santa Barbara Marina. The rooms are large, modern and quiet with really comfortable beds. There's the bonus of a free buffet style breakfast. There's ample free parking and all the staff are welcoming and happy to help.
If you are debating on staying at the Avania: DO IT! We had a wonderful stay. The lady at the front desk was very sweet and welcoming. The lobby area was decorated very nicely and smelled freshly cleaned and clean. Our room was exactly as described. Clean, comfortable, and had all we needed.

I enjoyed how cozy and clean the property was. The check-in process was smooth and easy. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The bed was very comfortable and everything was so clean in the hotel room.
Although this is not the properties fault, but the parking lot is very limited in space

Very disappointing experience. My friend and I stayed one night and returned around 12:30 a.m. to find the front entrance locked. Following the posted instructions, we attempted to use the designated rear entrance with our room keys, but the door would not open. We repeatedly called the emergency numbers posted on the door and received no response.
Thankfully, another guest happened to come downstairs. He tried his own key card, which also failed, and ultimately he and I had to physically force the door open with our hands just to get inside.
What was even more disappointing was management's lack of accountability. They dismissed the incident as a "misunderstanding," despite the fact that multiple key cards failed and no one answered the emergency numbers. They refused to issue a full refund and only provided a partial one.
Mistakes happen, but dismissing legitimate safety concerns and failing to take responsibility is unacceptable. I would not stay here again.
Rooms were large and clean Hotel was quiet and really near the beach
Nothing
The location was close to the beach and pier. The beds were comfortable but the pull out was old, dirty, and extremely uncomfortable.
The wall with the sunset painting needed to be dusted and the jacuzzi could use a face lift. The room doors slam really loud. I also think the price was a bit high for the value.
Great central location to walking distance to harbor and restaurants! My room was clean and comfy and quiet. The staff was so friendly and offered great suggestions on local places.

Very limited parking made it a problem when arriving late at the hotel.
