Booked it for the first night in Tokyo after the long plane, before going to Kyoto. Booked it for a private bath on the balcony, Semi closed. It was exactly the thing I wanted after 16 hours flight. The facilities in a traditional Ryokan style with modern touch are very atmospheric. It had probably the best breakfast I ever had in a hotel. It is provided by the restaurant on the second floor. There is a selection of Japanese and Western breakfast. If you there take the Japanese one, you wont regret it.
A bit pricy but, didn't regret it.
Very clean and comfortable. Great rooms. Close to the station and bus stop. Staff is super helpful
Morning breakfast while great can get a bit repetitive
Lovely hotel in a great location for families. Amazing bath in the terrace, great for a day out walking.
The family room had 2 beds next to each he others for parent and kids living little space but we knew this from the booking. I would still definitely recommend it!
Since my physical build is quite large (tall), the room felt a bit cramped.
Cute ryokan to try a more traditional route for hotels we only stayed two days. Staff was friendly and let us check in early. Room was nice but obviously on the smaller end. Bed a little on the firmer side but nothing crazy. Staff was nice and breakfast was free which was also nice. Location was good too.
Firmer bed than use to and not much room
For luggage but that’s expected with the layout.
The location and breakfasts were very good features
The room was impossibly small, to the point where we could hardly move in it-our bed was wedged into a small space and the TV hung on a wall on the side of the bed so we had to manoeuvre ourselves around to see it, using pillows to try to sit comfortably. The staff indicated that they could service our room but implied that this wasn’t really something that they did- when we saw how small the room was, we understood why they said this.
The cost of the hotel was not justified in view of such limitations.
