Breakfast and location were good
There is no gym available, despite what the description says
The location is top, right in the center of Bucharest. I highly recommend the hotel.

Alles
Nichts
Great location. Charmingly ornate. Lovely helpful staff.
The shower screen in the bathroom didn’t stop the shower flooding the bathroom floor every time. Our room opened onto a covered courtyard rather than to the outside, so it felt a bit stuffy and impossible to see what the weather was like in the morning before going outside. Also the internet didn’t work so far into the back of the building and the server they gave us to use was not very powerful. So the internet was really slow
Location is great but very old furniture and AC was not cooling properly although I changed the room staff are very nice and helpful
The hotel was a beautiful historic building in the centre surrounded by chocolate shops and an easy walk to most places. You felt like you were staying somewhere luxurious when you were really on a budget. The young girl at the front desk was lovely allowing us to check in early because the room was empty. It gave us a chance to freshen up before we went out to explore and I really appreciated that. I liked the breakfast where in addition to the usual breakfast items, they had strawberries and this whole cake that was very creamy.
The wifi was non existent which is hard to believe from a country that is suppose to have the fastest internet. Front reception told me the wifi does not work well from the second floor when the building has only three floors. I wondered where it did work. Also, the shower door was broken and flimsy which meant water from the bath went everywhere, especially when bathing a small child. Also, I asked about the airport transfer and was told not to bother because it is very expensive. Why advertise something when you are not offering value? The bolt to the airport only cost $15 Australian dollars so I did that instead. As a whole the travel industry and the hotel industry needs to lobby the government to have museums open more often. For three days, the museums were closed. One day was a public holiday and then they were closed for two days a week. Some only opened for four days a week. The country's biggest attraction was Dracula's castle which is an overpriced fraud as far as I was concerned. Tourists need more options in things to see and do and to stop disappointing people with that rubbish castle because it gives tourists a bad impression of the country. There are other cheap countries like Spain that have so much to see and do, and Romania needs to become more interesting for tourists. Neighbouring Hungary is more interesting and also cheap. You need to become cheaper or improve what is available for tourists to see and do.
Friendly staff, huge room with wonderful decor, excellent location. We didn't make use of any of the facilities outside of our room (other than luggage storage on the day we arrived), but the hotel was lovely.
