Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Windsor

I’ve stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Windsor many times over the past six months, mostly because the location is convenient when I’m in Windsor for work. Overall, many of my stays have been good, and the staff has generally been helpful and friendly.

Robert especially deserves a mention. He is one of the friendliest staff members I’ve dealt with at the hotel. He is always welcoming, accommodating, and genuinely pleasant, which makes a difference when you stay somewhere regularly.

That said, there are a couple of ongoing maintenance issues that really should be addressed, especially for future guests who may be assigned the affected rooms. The hot water issue remains a problem. It is not that there is no hot water at all, but you have to run the shower for around 15–20 minutes before the water gets hot. I mentioned this issue to management about a month ago and was told they would look into it, but the issue has still not been fixed.

The AC issue was also mentioned around the same time, and that problem still seems to exist as well. For a hotel that I otherwise like and continue to use, it is frustrating to see the same issues remain unresolved after being brought to management’s attention.

What made this more disappointing is that when I tried to select a certain room again, I was told it was unavailable because of large groups coming in. However, when I arrived at the hotel, there did not appear to be any large groups, and the room I was initially told was unavailable was available. I specifically request that room because I prefer the layout, but unfortunately, with the hot water and AC issues still not fixed, I will have to select a different room going forward.

Overall, I continue to stay here because the location works well for me, many of the staff are friendly, and most of my stays have been positive. However, the recurring hot water and AC issues need to be properly addressed, especially when they have already been reported multiple times and are still ongoing.

Management does encourage guests to bring issues to their attention, which I appreciate, but the follow-through on these particular issues has been disappointing.

I had a great stay here over a weekend for work. The other reviews that mention Ryley are no exaggeration, she was so great. Super caring and attentive but efficient and great at her job. Every staff interaction was great. Lobby, elevators, and hallways were all clean and comfortable.

I stayed in the larger king suite which was clean and fresh. The larger room was perfect for me since I had a lot of stuff and it had loads of outlets to plug things in. Having the little mini kitchen was also useful. The shower was a good size and the water pressure was pretty good, and it had a bright light in there which I always appreciate. I was on the top floor (7) facing southwest and had a great view of the new bridge and loads of trees.

The only thing I would flag is the noise. The property is renovated and great for a hotel in its price range, but since it is an older building, the traffic noise was a bit bothersome until around midnight and you could hear when someone was talking in the hallway. If that's something super important to you I recommend selecting or asking for a room facing away from the main road and near the end of the hall.

I booked early and paid a fair price for an early summer weekend. Closer to the date the value wasn't as good but wasn't crazy expensive either. Breakfast was very standard Hampton Inn, it was nothing to write home about but no complaints either.

I will definitely look at this hotel again if/when I am back in Windsor.

I love Hampton Inn and find it the most comfortable among affordable hotels. Beds are the best. It’s clean, staff is amazing, rooms are specious and have all you need.

The convenience of its location. The inclusive breakfast was great! Especially because it’s offered 7 days a week! I especially appreciated Theresa the breakfast hostess who was extremely attentive and efficient! She cleaned and sanitized every table and chair within seconds of them becoming vacant. She constantly restocked and replenished. She efficiently monitored the trash receptacles. She was absolutely friendly and highly service oriented. THANK YOU THERESA!

ONE of the better breakfast we've ever had, the room was exceptionally clean and very updated.
The staff were always there if you needed anything Riley had a great personality and making sure everything was fine.
The pool was warm and clean and comfortable. We definitely would stay didn't want to leave thanks Larry...we'll be back
