We loved Athena
Pros:

The hotel was in walking distance to so many place. The rooms were very comfortable with everything we needed. Good breakfast and we had a wonderful dinner at the roof top restaurant. All in all I was very pleasantly surprised as some of the reviews I’d read were a bit unkind. Would definitely recommend for location and affordability.

Cons:

It was so incredibly hot and I wished I’d booked a hotel with a pool. The pillows were very uncomfortable

Το προσωπικό ήταν φιλικό και εξυπηρετικό και το πρωινό ήταν καλό, ωστόσο αυτά δεν αρκούν για να δικαιολογήσουν την τιμή της διαμονής.

Cons:

Το ξενοδοχείο καλύπτει μόνο τις βασικές ανάγκες, όμως χρειάζεται οπωσδήποτε ανακαίνιση και γενικότερη ανανέωση των υποδομών του. Στο μπάνιο υπήρχαν εμφανή σημεία οξείδωσης, γεγονός που επηρέασε αρνητικά τη συνολική εικόνα του χώρου.

Very very noisy
Pros:

The location is reasonably good, in walking distance to the parthenon.

Cons:

The noise is excessive - you are right next to a major road, and despite two doors and earplugs it is extremely difficult to sleep. The facilities are fairly dated, and from the smell we got the sense that the soap and shampoo products in the shower had gone off. Upon raising the noise issue with the staff at the front desk the only solution was to pay to upgrade to a room on the other side of the hotel. I would not recommend staying here.

Two nights at the Athenian Callirhoe
Pros:

Hotel Athenian Callirhoe
My wife and I stayed here two nights. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Dimitrios patiently answered all our questions. The hotel is located about a ten minute walk to the Acropolis museum and nearby Acropolis site. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and you can see the Acropolis if your room is in the back of the hotel.

Roof Garden Restaurant
We ate dinner here both nights of our stay. The restaurant has great views and the windows behind the bar showcase the Acropolis. Service was friendly and well timed and the food was delicious.
