Beautifully appointed hotel in an incredible city

We had a car and parking was very difficult; very tight, narrow spots.

Excellente nuit au Dukes Academie Hôtel
Pros:

Hôtel très beau, décoré avec goût, calme, accueillant, très bien situé, personnel au petit soin, chambre très confortable et spacieuse , salle de bain très bien aussi, patio au milieu de l'hôtel pour se poser, lits confortables, équipements présents et adaptés, petit déjeuner excellent copieux avec beaucoup de choix.

Cons:

Toute petite remarque : il n'y avait pas de réfrigérateur comme annoncé au départ dans notre chambre (le temps de nous en rendre compte nous avions déjà investi les lieux).

Lovely hotel
Pros:

Beautiful hotel and super friendly and polite staff. Breakfast is amazing so much choice. Great location.

Cons:

Had paid extra for a balcony room, expected the balcony was a sitting area but it wasn't, it was just a metal window balcony, decoration only and overlooked hotel outdoor seating area.

As soon as we entered the room, we noticed a very strong sewer odor. At first, we thought the air conditioning might becausing the smell, so we turned it off. However, the odor remained. We reported the issue to the front desk shortly afterchecking in, but no action was taken to resolve it.
The odor was so severe that it woke us up at approximately 4:30 a.m. On the morning of July 22, we went to the frontdesk and politely requested that someoneinspect the room. We were told that housekeeping would check it while we were out. When we returned later that day, the sewer odor was still present andhad not been addressed.
We returned to the front desk and explained again that we could not continue staying in the room because the odor had become even stronger. We were surprised when the receptionist initially told us that housekeeping reported the smell was simply from people sleeping in the room. Because this explanation did not reflect the conditions we were experiencing and was very shocking and insulting, we requested that asupervisor or manager personally inspect the room.
Belona, the supervisor, came to our room and, after entering, confirmed that she could smell the sewer odor herself. She acknowledged the issue right away and arranged for us to be moved to a different room. Wethen had to pack all of our belongings andmove them ourselves, creating additional inconvenience during our stay.
