Big brand bad experience

Cons:

1) The air- condition was not working and it was all hot weather during our stay days.
2) We have been asked to sit separately during breakfast one day. All other guests arrived for breakfast immediately after us in the next 30sec to 5mins ( almost 15+ groups) were asked to sit in the main breakfast area. We felt discriminated against and lodged a complaint. The manager did not care about our complaint and was shielding his employees and telling us about policies as against answering why only we were separated out.

Very good location in Berlin
Pros:

Location very close to Tierpark and Brandenburg Gate, feels very safe around the hotel.
Great breakfast!
Pet Fee only 50Euro for the whole stay and not per day.
In Room Dining quality also very good, though a bit pricey.
Pool saved us during the heat wave hottest day ever in Germany.

Cons:

The hotel checkin System had a problem by checkin and although I gave my credit card and even put the pin in for authorisation, I kept getting these letters in the room that I needed to check payment at the front desk. I could pay at the checkout, why keep getting these letters if the problem was with your system? Very annoying, specially because they could not fix it and my keys kept getting blocked and preventing me from getting back to my room, I had to go back to reception and change keys everytime. Eventually on our 3rd day I asked to pay already before checkout day so this would stop. The way the checkin guy treated me and laughed and the main manager handled the situation also did not help. In generall the staff is very unfriendly and unhelpful.

An Excellent Base for Exploring Berlin**
Pros:

I am a frequent traveler and a Marriott Titanium Elite member, so I base my hotel reviews on both the brand's standards and my personal experiences.

I recently stayed at the Berlin Marriott Hotel and found it to be an excellent choice for exploring the city. One of the hotel's greatest strengths is its location. Situated adjacent to Potsdamer Platz station, it offers outstanding access to Berlin's public transportation network. We arrived by train at Berlin Gesundbrunnen and took the S-Bahn directly to Potsdamer Platz. At the end of our stay, we took the FEX Airport Express directly from Potsdamer Platz to Berlin Brandenburg Airport. We never needed a taxi.

The location is equally convenient for sightseeing. Many of Berlin's major attractions, including Brandenburg Gate, the Holocaust Memorial, Topography of Terror, Potsdamer Platz, and the Tiergarten, are all within comfortable walking distance. We found it to be an ideal base for experiencing the city.

I was warmly recognized as a Marriott Titanium Elite member and was able to check in early, around 1:00 p.m., which was greatly appreciated after traveling. I also received an upgrade to an Executive Room on a high floor.

The room was quiet, comfortable, and exactly what I have come to expect from a Marriott. Although the hotel is located in the heart of Berlin, my room was surprisingly quiet. I had no issues with outside noise and slept very well throughout my stay.

The Executive Lounge was another highlight of the stay. Breakfast each morning offered a good variety of hot and cold items, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the evening food offerings. The lounge was a great place to unwind at the end of the day and added meaningful value to the overall experience.

Service throughout the hotel was consistently friendly and professional, making for a smooth and enjoyable stay from arrival through departure.

Overall, this is an outstanding Marriott property. Between its excellent location, easy access to public transportation, strong elite recognition, comfortable accommodations, and very good Executive Lounge, I would gladly stay here again on a future visit to Berlin.

החדר היה ענק עם המון חלונות(סויטה)ארוחת הבוקר מצויינת. גם הטרקלין מצויין אבל רק בין 17:30 ל20:30.(יש אפילו בשר). בבוקר הטרקלין די בסיסי. מיקום מעולה. באמצע הדרך של קו הu2. בין הקודאם מצד אחד לאלכסנדר פלאץ מהצד השני. קניון במרחק 200 מטר. מזגן טוב(היינו בגל חום ביוני). שירות בקבלה מאוד אדיב. ספא סאונה וחדר כושר טובים מאוד. מעליות מגיעות מאוד מהר.

Cons:

אולי רק את הקטע של המנורות בחדר. אתה סוגר אחד. כולם נסגרים חוץ ממנורת קריאה מעל הראש במיטה.
