A super Carlisle base with the city on the doorstep and excellent transport links.
Pros:

The hotel's location is excellent with on site parking. Staff across the hotel are all very friendly and welcoming.

Cons:

I liked everything. The breakfast choice is very good. One suggestion I would make is to have greater quantities of cold meats, fruit and cheese available. These are supplied to the buffet in very small amounts at present. I ha e stayed at this hotel on several occasions

Short stay
Pros:

The toilet in the bar /restaurant had to be opened by staff bathroom very small and large step into it .shabby furnishings. Bed uncomfortable on a slope at one side .excellent location.

Cons:

My dislike should have gone hear .

Budget hotel
Cons:

The shower curtain wasn't hanging properly it was held on by three hooks.
Needs more than one shower mat .

Great location, comfy beds
Pros:

Location, bed and shower were best parts of trip! Reception clean, staff lovely and check in easy.
It's very close to lively part of Carlisle and train station.
Bed comfortable with extra pillows. Shower great and nice smelling body wash and hand soap. Towels massive. Tea and coffee though not alot of sugar. Tv in room though we were out most of night. Wardrobe with storage and hairdryer provided. Bedside cabinets with lights and place for case/bag.

Cons:

Weird smell in room and floor felt sticky. I noticed it was a dog friendly hotel so I'm wondering if it was dog smell masked though I'm not sure if dogs are allowed in room.
We kept window open and sprayed perfume so by next day it smelled better! It was noisy and we heard at least 5 different people during night though I'm not sure if they were outside or on our floor as window open. They do provide earplugs but 1 night was manageable. Found what looked like tooth floss on bathroom floor so I don't think floors throughout were cleaned at all.

Not a pleasant stay.
Pros:

Free parking at the back of hotel and air conditioning.

Cons:

Hotel is old, reception area looks dark and carpet needs replaced . Streets outside of hotel were dirty and lots of bars and drunks.
