Everything was exceptional. The hotel is beautiful, elegant, and full of charm. The room was spotless, comfortable, and very quiet. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always happy to help. The breakfast was delicious with great variety, and the complimentary transfer service was a wonderful surprise. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the historic center while still being peaceful. I truly loved every moment of my stay.

Ao chegar no hotel (como diz meu filho, "casa da Nonna") a receptividade já é calorosa! A senhora Marina nos recebeu muito bem e de cara você se sente em casa. Desde a entrada para do jardim, à recepção e o quarto foi amor a primeira vista. Agora, o café da manhã é um assunto a parte. A variedade, qualidade, capricho e cuidado aos detalhes da mesa, buffet e atendimento no serviço é só elogios. Nota máxima em tudo.

Propietate superba!Este una din cele mai frumoase locatii pe care le-am vizitat.Mic dejun senzational(top 5).Propietara implicata cu multa ospitalitate.Curatenie exceptionala.

Nu va uitati la bani,isi merita fiecare cent(am platit 260€/24h).Cred ca este cel mai bun mic dejun pe care l-am experimentat si credetima pe cuvant ,pentru ca am peste 70/80 de rezervari pe an pe platforma Booking(este totusi o propietate privata si nu un hotel de 5 stele).

Hotel Villa Marsili was an absolute highlight of our trip to Italy, and the staff are what made it truly special. Marina, the manager, went above and beyond from the moment we arrived — she was incredibly accommodating, warm, and made us feel genuinely taken care of throughout our stay. Her hospitality set the tone for the whole visit.
The breakfast alone is worth the trip. Every single morning brought a fresh spread of homemade savory and sweet items, never the same twice. It felt less like a hotel breakfast and more like being hosted by family.
What really stood out, though, was the thoughtfulness behind the scenes. I have several food allergies, and Carmen, the chef, took the time to make me special cantucci so I wouldn't miss out on the sweet treats everyone else was enjoying. That kind of personal touch is rare, and it didn't go unnoticed.
Between the warmth of the staff, the incredible food, and the genuine care shown to guests, Hotel Villa Marsili exceeded every expectation. I'd recommend it without hesitation to anyone visiting Italy.

The bathrooms felt a little dated. It didn't take away from the experience, but it's worth a mention for anyone expecting a fully modern finish throughout.

A lovely base in Cortona.
Pros:
