The view was lovely and a great place to relax and unwind. The breakfast staff were fantastic and the Irish dance event at the Actons Hotel we attended was absolutely fabulous. Plus there was a discount for hotel guests for this event.
Nothing major to mention.
We held our wedding reception at Actons Hotel in June. The day was perfect.
In the months leading up to the event, Ian Eaton and the team at Actons were attentive, clear and accommodating of our goals for the day. On the day itself, the reception, dinner and dancing ran like clockwork, and the Actons team was always there for us when we had questions. The room setup was aesthetic, the audio-visual equipment and bride/groom entrance was superb, and we chose to extend our time in the venue to a full week.
The harbour views were exactly what we were looking for. The hotel was good value for money, was clean, quiet and serene with the sun rising over the water every morning.
10/10 recommend Actons - we wouldn't change anything if we were doing it again, and they helped us create the best memories.
Excellent location in centre of town, but very quiet. Staff all very friendly and efficient. Very comfortable bar with lovely food. Hotel Spa clean and bright with all you need.

What a wonderful hotel full of helpful staff, comfortable rooms with great views of activity near the harbor. The atmosphere at the hotel is welcoming and friendly -- be it in the breakfast room, bar, or lobby. Just what I want in a place I will be staying for a few days. Rooms are quiet, even when big events are going on.

We celebrated our wedding last week in Acton’s. Thank you so much to Ian and all of the team in Acton’s. Acton’s was the first hotel that we viewed and I knew leaving that it was the place for us. From the moment we met Ian we knew we were going to be well looked after. Nothing was too big of an ask for Ian and all of the small touches that went into our day didn’t go un noticed. Anytime we spoke to our friends and family throughout the day it was high praise of Ian and the gorgeous food and ambiance that the team put together. All of the team in Acton’s make you feel at home the second you come in the door. We spent a weekend that we will never forget and we are so grateful to Ian and all of the Acton’s team. No it was all ok
This was my 2nd stay at Actons, and it was just as I remembered it. Lovely room overlooking the harbour. It's right in town so it was very easy to get to different places. Extremely clean room that was just charming. My room was at the top of the stairs and across from the elevator, which I was concerned about. Except for a group coming in loudly (which the hotel staff is not to blame) after 11:00 pm, it was quiet. It was wonderful to have a couple of bottles of water in the room, as well as tea/coffee. The breakfast buffet was limited but ordering breakfast was at no extra charge. The bathrom had a very nice rain shower. The only negative thing I have to say about this hotel is that there are very few USB ports (there was only 1), which isn't a big deal as long as you remember to bring an adapter.
