Overall, the stay was OK, but we wouldn’t book again
Pros:

It was close to the state line and lake, free breakfast was great. We loved that they did cool stuff for the kids like s’mores and ice cream and the game room was great. Staff was very friendly. Their dog friendly, which was great for us as we have two little dogs.

Cons:

They tell you if you stay more than four days housekeeping will come. We stayed Five, they said our day to get cleaned and replenished was Wednesday housekeeping never came. They never came to replenish towels or toilet paper.. our shower was clogged from day one so we were showering in someone else’s nasty clogged hair up to our calf. Our bed was sunken in and very uncomfortable and the pullout couch was broken and laid sideways

Nice facility in the center of Tahoe
Pros:

Stayed in a 2-bedroom suite. Spacious, good kitchen facility. Mattress was just about ok. Breakfast is the typical hotel food, nothing outstanding. Location is excellent.

Cons:

breakfast is just mediocre. For the amount charged, it could have been better. Also, one staff was not able to refill at the rate the food was getting over.

The large room was great for a family but I will go back to the Marriott

Some windows without screens no dishwasher, the old washer and dryers( who still uses coins? On washer out of order out of two. No ability to log into a streaming accounts on the tv

Broken down hotel room
Pros:

The place looks like garbage. The shower was held together by quite literal duck tape, everything creaked like a horror movie, and my whole family can hear screaming from outside. This is for a $1000 dollar room, there should be basic maintenance of the building. Probably not coming back unless it’s a last resort

The location for this resort is excellent, but I would probably pay more money to stay elsewhere.
Pros:

The breakfast was good in that they had both hot food and cold food, such as cereal, hard-boiled eggs, etc., however, both mornings there were hot food containers that had not been replenished so that was disappointing.

Cons:

The pictures online look much nicer than the actual resort. The pool has no landscaping nor much shade and is rundown. The pool picture online looks very nice which is deceiving. Our two bed/2 bath suite had very comfortable beds, but the kitchen has seen better days with very old cabinetry with dingy paint.

Not worth the location
Pros:

The location is fantastic, but unfortunately the property is very run down. Our unit had multiple maintenance issues throughout our stay, including constantly clogged toilets, a malfunctioning air conditioner, excessive dust, and dirty kitchen cabinets.

The bedding was also disappointing. Instead of fitted sheets, the beds were made with only flat sheets that would not stay in place, leaving the bare mattress exposed. There wasn’t even a mattress protector, which felt unsanitary.

The pool area was also in poor condition. A broken paver caused our child to cut their foot, and the hot tub water was yellow and did not appear to be properly maintained. Overall, the condition of the property did not match our expectations and needs significant upkeep.

Family reunion
Pros:

This is the sixth family reunion we have had at Forest Suites and we appreciate the amenities: the pool, hot tub and the lawn area, the ability to rent tables, chairs, and table cloths for a group, the nightly treats (ice cream sandwiches, s’mores, cookies and lemonade, etc.) The facility was built in the 80s so, not surprisingly, it could use some maintenance (new windows, new facia boards and gutters) but they have been updating items in the rooms (furniture, countertops, fireplaces, etc.) The employees have always been helpful.

My stay was ok.
Pros:

Location was great.

Cons:

The food could have been better. The AC was very loud. Jacuzzi needs refinishing. Pool area needs makeover. More usb/ac charges in room. TV needs apps. Pet area needs grass. Breakfast needs improvement, cooking stations would be good.
