This place delivers on everything, its comfortable and clean and in a great location. The food was lovely. Above all tho, the staff are amazing, they were so kind and really went above and beyond at every turn which is so rare these days.
Great art, great location.
The shower in our room, difficult to operate and didn’t drain properly
Very comfortable bed room facilities, good restaurant, dinner and breakfast Parkin free on site.
The only complaint we had was the pop music playing in the restaurant, The atmosphere would be so much more relaxing without the background music!
Fabulous time ....stayed with a 22 coach party we all had a great time....great food... friendly staff ....rooms perfection .....everything organised and well managed
Excellent staff. Stylishly decorated and furnished.
Superb food.
Great location
Nothing
We came for an afternoon tea (myself, daughter and granddaughter) and it was our granddaughters first afternoon tea. The staff went out of their way to make it a special experience for her, they gave her a plate with her name written in icing and a bonus cake. All the food was delicious and staff attentive- our waiter (male, youngish) was fantastic and went above and beyond to make it special. A big thank you to him.
A very good hotel for a coach party
We stayed at Salthouse Harbour Hotel for a celebration weekend away, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish.
Our room was absolutely beautiful, with a stunning copper bath that made our stay feel extra special. The spa was peaceful, luxurious, and incredibly relaxing, for sure one of the best I've ever visited! The treatments were simply heavenly, and every member of the spa team made us feel completely looked after.
The food was exceptional, with every meal beautifully prepared and full of flavour. Combined with the warm, genuine hospitality from the entire team, it made for the perfect weekend getaway.
I would highly recommend Salthouse Harbour Hotel to anyone looking for a unique and memorable escape.
Thank you to the entire team for your kindness, outstanding service, and for making our celebration so special. We can't wait to return!
What a wonderful stay in a perfect situation along the waterfront in Ipswich.
The service from everybody was impeccable from the front desk , restaurant staff and the housekeeping team. Everyone was so helpful , friendly and accommodating. The rooms were fabulous and every meal we had , breakfast , lunch and dinner was superb. We really didn’t want to leave and would recommend staying here. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much.
Yet another lovely stay at The Salthouse even had a couple of cocktails in the newly renovated bar area. Staff as always very friendly and make you feel part of the family.
We had a fantastic time at Salthouse Spa for our wedding anniversary. The staff including front of house staff Maddie and Jamie were extremely welcoming and friendly. The food in the restaurant was excellent, we had lunch and breakfast which were both very nice.
We stayed in the Penthouse suite overlooking the harbour which was lovely, the views were amazing.
The room was spacious and extremely clean, and comfortable.
The spa although quite small was very new, it’s lovely and quiet as limited numbers at one time, the staff in the spa were very attentive and friendly.
Highly recommend. Would definitely visit again.
A wonderful overnight stay. In fact we felt on leaving as if we had been on holiday for a week rather than just overnight. Attentive, friendly staff, good food and drink and a comfortable air conditioned room made this a five star experience.
Only two things struck us as unusual within a hotel of this calibre, firstly the lack of wardrobe and drawer storage space. There were no drawers at all within the room and the bulk of the wardrobe area was filled with two hotel bathrobes, an ironing board and a small shelf unit containing hairdryer, kettle and complimentary beverage ingredients, which made it hard to store our own garments. As we were only staying overnight this did not pose too much of a problem to us, but might do for guests staying longer.
Secondly, we were surprised to see there was no minibar within the room. Two bottles of mineral water awaited us on the table but it would have been useful to have somewhere to chill them. The air conditioning was most welcome, however, as we visited during a heatwave.
All in all, a most enjoyable stay. Thank you.
Went for a pre meeting drink, had to find someone to get a drink menu, no one came to take the order, walked through restaurant to the bar and ordered , waited 20 mins at which point I had to find someone to chase the order up, 10 minutes later they arrived. Was asked to pay before the drinks were put on the table. Waitress disappeared before I could say I had the wrong cocktail, was now time to leave for our meeting . Wasn’t going to put this review but I messaged the hotel via contact form but no one has replied to me dispute the form saying a reply will be sent by next working day.
Spent 2 nights at the Salt house with a group of friends and had a fantastic experience. Rooms were great and the breakfast was amazing and cooked to order. The staff were superb. All were friendly, polite and attentive. I cannot praise it enough and I have stayed in hundreds of hotels all over the world.
We received gift vouchers for our wedding last year, for an overnight stay at this hotel on a Sunday, along with a gift voucher for dinner to the value of £80. We booked tickets to a show at a theatre in Ipswich one Sunday evening, and made a reservation at the hotel for the same night.
Unfortunately, the theatre show was cancelled, but we still travelled from Norwich to stay over anyway.
Our room (312) was lovely, small window with view over a car park, but it was quiet and comfortable. The hotel is tastefully decorated and the restaurant has undergone a significant refurbishment recently- we had to wait several months to book in to use our voucher due to the restaurant being out of action.
We had 2 x mains, 2 x desserts, a bottle of water & 2 aperol spritz which totalled £97. Delicious meal and very attentive service in a lovely environment.
The weather was perfect & we were able to enjoy breakfast outside by the harbour the next morning. It felt like being on holiday!
