hotel decidido em cima da hora e foi uma grande surpresa, Hotel lindo, ganhamos upgrade do quarto. O hotel fica em frente a praça, a vista da piscina e do quarto sao perfeitas, e a equipe que nos atendeu, é fora do comum. Luisa e Analissa da repecpçao, Francisco da piscina e a toda educaçao de Francesca no cafe da manha, ganharam nossos coraçoes. Na propria recepçao do hotel, conseguimos alugar um barco o que deixou nossa estadia ainda mais especial.
Everything was superb. The staff were so helpful and accommodating to our needs, the breakfast was delicious, everything was sparkling clean and the location for Ortigia was unbeatable.
The price of wine at the hotel bars. It was €18 for a glass which is pretty extortionate considering the beer was only €7.
In the mornings, from our room on the first floor, we could hear staff making lots of noise while they were working and talking very loudly. Luckily, this was only that noticeable closer to the door which is not where our bed was.

Beautiful hotel in a really good location within really easy walking distance to all the food places and wee shops… great staff also…
BUT and it’s a big thing…
Do not book sea facing rooms if you are staying on a Friday or Saturday night… there’s a pop up niteclub at the waters edge that went on until 2:30 am both of those nights
And it was loud

Apart from that it would have been an easy 5 star so if you are staying during the week you’ll love it (the Sunday was peaceful)
We were extremely disappointed with the service at this hotel.
We paid €80 for valet parking, yet it took 45 minutes for our car to be returned. What made the experience even more frustrating was that our car had been sitting outside the hotel for at least 15 minutes without anyone informing us it was ready. To make matters worse, the car had been parked far from the hotel. If we were going to the airport, we would had lost our flight.
Instead of apologizing for the delay, the staff repeatedly insisted it was “only two minutes,” even though we had clearly seen the car waiting there for the last 15 minutes. The lack of accountability was also appalling.
The service issues didn’t end there. The bellman mistakenly gave our luggage to another guest, and someone nearly walked away with our belongings. This was completely unacceptable and could have resulted in lost luggage.
For a hotel charging premium prices, we expected a much higher standard of service. Unfortunately, the valet and baggage handling were poorly managed, and the staff’s response made the situation even worse. We would not expect this level of service from a hotel in this price range.
The premises, the location, the staff
Beautiful location, lovely hotel, fantastic breakfast (with helpful attentive staff) and lovely infinity pool.
Despite booking a tour to Taormina and an Etna winery through the hotel months in advance, and being reassured all was booked (including a high chair) - we found out halfway through our day tour that the winery of our choice was not booked and was full so we were diverted to another “better more expensive winery” (which we were paying for!). So rather than going to Gambino (Google 4.9/5) we were redirected to Cantina Murgo 1860 (Google 4.4/5).
When checking out, the bill for the day tour appeared to have been reduced which, under the circumstances, would have been totally appropriate but i later found out that my guests, whose room I had booked and paid for, had had 1/2 the cost of the tour applied to their room without any discussion/ consultation! This was frankly very embarrassing!!
The reception desk, whilst helpful, were also pretty limited in their suggestions for local restaurants.

Beautiful luxury hotel with large rooms and an attentive staff. Thank you to Cristian, Antonino, and I believe her name was Marilisa but I might be getting the name wrong as I was in a rush when I asked, but those 3 as well as the rest of the staff made our stay very special. Perfect location as well.
