From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted. The Breakfast had very little for western travellers and the pool area was very average
Location and cleanliness. Although the outside appearance was a bit old style but not inside! The room was comfortable with some upgrade done. I had a pleasant stay in cititel. Cleanliness was good❤️ hotel have free parking as well. Definitely will comeback next time.

Good breakfast, a good Japanese restaurant and staff went extra miles to ensure customer request are well taken care of - we had a cake given when requested to celebrate the wedding anniversary of a couple travelling with us at a very last minute and the friendly staff went the extra mile to provide that from the kitchen. Excellent location for touring and food hunt.

I stayed in room 1715. I chose the hotel because of the location and it’s very close to the famous blue mansion.
The hotel is quite large and you can definitely tell that this was a premium hotel back in the days. It is definitely not new, but I believe management does good effort to maintain it.
My room was facing the sea, which was really lovely. The rooms are very clean and have everything you need, even toothbrush. I especially loved that they offer you a jug to refill water at the dispenser in the corridor for free. Always appreciate free water at the hotel and this was really great.
That was actually comfortable, more than I expected.
Breakfast was good, white selection, even some sushi, nothing surprising, but you can definitely pick something.
Staff was very thoughtful and very helpful at the reception and I really appreciated it.
Stay just for one night so I think for a short stay considering the price it’s a good option!
The hotel is not new, so of course you can tell it from the rooms. Again, the hotel does good effort to maintain it so it’s all very clean but if you’re looking for a modern looking hotel, maybe that’s not it.
