The location of the hotel was great, the staff was very good in dealing with some guests who seemed to have very few patients.
Freundliches personal. Frühstück ausreichend. Gute zimmerausstattung. Moderne von innen.

Run down. Not very well maintained.
Room was very clean. Bathroom was modern and nicely done. Front counter staff were very professional and made sure all my needs were met.
Could have had more of a selection for breakfast. Breakfast was on the weak side. Not a great selection of food. Management had the breakfast area on lock down. You could only gain access to the breakfast room by going to the front desk and asking to be let in.
Only stayed one night while passing though. Service was excellent. Room was dated but clean and comfortable. Beds and pillows were comfortable. We travelled with a 60lb dog who was welcomed and we were given a welcome bag for him too. 2nd time stopping here and will continue stopping here when driving through.

The pillows were hard and some of the guests were extremely noisy.
We slept very well. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. The location was right downtown. We could walk to restaurants, groceries, gas etc.
The lobby, elevator etc. were quite drab and could absolutely use some TLC. The room door lock system was not reliable. Sometimes our key cards worked, other times they did not.
Impossible to get an invoice for my stay at this property. showed the staff that booking.com would not issue an invoice and asked at the desk and via email later. 2 years same problem. will not be back again over a very simple task.....
The room was spacious, comfortable and clean with windows looking over the atrium pool area, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the people of castlegar were super friendly and eager to help

Facility was dark and dreary. Exterior doors to side entrance were all scratched up.

We had planned to stay in Christina Lake for the night but the power was out in town due to a big windstorm. We decided to stay in Castlegar instead and chose the Sandman. The room was nice but the tissue box was empty, neither of us could figure out the remote for the tv and when we made coffee in the morning, there was no coffee mugs in the room so we had to use the cereal bowls to drink our coffee. Does anyone check the rooms after housekeeping prepares the room for the next guest?
I would like to thank the ladies at the front desk, they were superb with us, they welcome us in a very well educate manner ,accommodate us in a nice, clean, room The hotel is very clean all over since the main entrance, the 3 level where we stayed is nice and big windows to get a very good view. In the morning we got a free continental breakfast enough food for us. In general the hotel is superb.
