Disappointed!
Cons:

View was not as advertised or expected, very disappointing seeing as i am a frequent stayer at this location. Also no cocktail service available during the afternoon, which is unacceptable in a hotel like this

Average, not great value for money from a premium resort
Pros:

Bed was amazingly comfortable. Loved the scent of the shampoo and body wash. Staff were very friendly at reception and at breakfast, staff in the afternoon at the bar were very rude which was embarrassing as I had invited friends for afternoon drinks and dinner.

Cons:

No milk in the room for the tea and coffee machine. No information on room service, laundry service etc I had to ask reception for additional information. No information in the room how to get around, location amenities, attractions etc everything I needed to know I had to ask at reception. Breakfast there wasn’t a huge selection at the buffet other than cereal or fresh fruit, which was limited. Fresh pastries and toast and jam would be a really nice touch. Breakfast potions ordered from the menu were relatively small and the limited selection from the buffet was very poor.

a peaceful and romantic lake-view retreat
Pros:

peaceful experience and intimate feel. we knew it would be a drive to town, and ultimately the bus wasn't too reliable, but it felt worth it to uber/taxi and be in such a quiet part of town
the tahuna lake view was beautiful, and I felt the balcony was big enough to step outside and enjoy
the hotel kindly welcomed us with a note and chocolates for our honeymoon

Cons:

a little pricey, though we also visited during a music festival
we enjoyed dinner at Nest but the service slowed down at the end (I think waiters switched) and it took a while for us to receive the bill

Excellent hotel, good value and not to far from the heart of Queenstown
Pros:

The room was very clean and comfortable. The menu and overall service in the bar was excellent. Really good range of local wines.

For luxury, there is no real space in the bathroom for hanging towel or toiletries in the actual shower (no shelves) there were 3 of us staying.

Overpriced, and lacking quality in all aspects
Pros:

Reception staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel reception, bar and restaurant were pleasant. Good tea selection in room.

Cons:

The parking situation was not practical and I expected on site parking for the cost. The room was small, with very uncomfortable beds and pillows that should have been replaced a long time ago. They were lumpy and well used. I found them so disgusting I slept with my coat rolled up instead of using them. The bedding was clean, but again well used and not good quality.
The room had a smell that I found disgusting. It was a mix of damp and sweat, which hit us as soon as we opened the door.
We used the restaurant twice - once for a drink while we were waiting to check in, and again for breakfast and we found some of the staff seemed to turn their nose up at us because we were dressed practically, and not smartly. There was a waiter in particular who looked at us, judged us, and clearly found us lacking. I had to ask him to come over and take our order because he was trying to ignore us! And the breakfast options were odd, and the food quality was poor quality and badly cooked when it arrived. Overall, this hotel is not worth the price they charge. It doesn’t even have a good location.

Mountain views were incredible, great location with only a short walk away to bus stop, friendly staff and outstanding restaurants with delicious room service breakfast from the nest
