Extremely dirty and disappointing
Pros:

Communication before arrival was smooth. Got helpful clear tips about how to reach. The hotel staff were helpful and always had smiles on their faces. In spite of English/Spanish Communication barrier, things went smoothly. The bed was huge and AC worked well. I didn't need to pay the cash deposit.

Cons:

The room as a hotel room is a joke. As the main door always remains closed and you don't get a key, you start having doubts about the neighbourhood. Maybe our room was cleaned properly once 2 years ago? There was a thick layer of dust over the bed and in the bathroom. The drains are kept covered with makeshift plastics lids(insects, smell?). The stench hits you as soon as you remove it. There was grime along the edge of the walls in the bathroom. The water pressure in the toilet flush could also have been better. Furniture were dated and also dusty. The most problematic thing was that the toilet had a ventilation hole(see pictures) towards the bedroom. So imagine someone using the toilet and you are in the bedroom. I had to cross ventilate the room to somehow manage the smell. But it felt like we could have slept very well in the bathroom. Paid 120 USD for the room, maybe worth 40. Extremely disappointing and unsettling experience, would only recommend if you get an extremely good deal and don't mind dirty.
