Check in was smooth.
There should be an ice machine for guests to use. Currently have to get it from the cafe bar. The machine is small and used for bars or restaurants. Thus guests have to ask and provided reluctantly a small amount

Le lit un peu "cuvette", le bruit du réfrigérateur et de la ventilation.
エリザベスラインの出口から徒歩5分程度。看板がないのでわかりにくいが、TownHouseの一角をホテルとして利用している。静かな環境。設備も問題なし。無料の水も毎日供給された。朝食もおいしかった。
ホテル入口、内部に数段の段差があり、トランクを運ぶのが多少不便。朝食メニューに変化がなかった。

Breakfast was good, it had a good selection and variety ranging from hash browns, bacon, eggs, yoghurt, toast and cereals etc. The room was very small, but as a solo traveller, it was perfect for what I needed - the bed was surprisingly very comfortable. The location was great! It is close to Hyde park and Paddington station. Rooms were cleaned everday and had no issues. Staff were all very friendly!
Just wish the room was slightly bigger
I have stayed at this hotel several times before and had no reason to expect this kind of treatment. This time, despite booking my room more than three months in advance, I was told upon arrival that my room was unavailable because it needed repairs.
Instead of providing the room I had reserved, the hotel relocated me to another property in the same group, Inhabit Queens Garden, around 300 metres away. I had two very heavy suitcases and a carry-on, so the hotel offered to arrange a taxi. I waited for nearly 30 minutes, but the taxi never arrived.
With a dinner appointment and a concert to attend, I eventually had to walk to the other hotel carrying all my luggage. The hotel manager eventually accompanied me, which I appreciate, but this does not change the fact that the situation was completely unacceptable and poorly handled.
The replacement room was also lacking basic facilities I would reasonably expect: there was no refrigerator and no microwave. The safe was placed underneath the bed and was so difficult to access that I had to sit on the floor and bend down just to use it.
What I found most troubling was that, while I was waiting for the taxi, I watched several other guests arrive and check in at the original hotel. They were given rooms while I was being sent to another property.
This raises a very obvious question: if rooms were available, why was I relocated after having made my reservation more than three months in advance?
I cannot say for certain what happened, but the situation certainly made me question whether the hotel had overbooked and decided to relocate my reservation.
As a returning guest, I expected much better communication, planning and consideration. Instead, I arrived with a confirmed reservation and ended up being inconvenienced, relocated, left waiting for transportation that never arrived, and given a room with fewer facilities.
1-star is not about the inconvenience of walking 300 metres. It is about how the entire situation was handled.

They upgraded us to a larger room and all snacks and drinks were complimentary. The Indian restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced. Staff were attentive and the doorman made you feel welcome
Dark sheers made room dark. Back of building so no view or morning sunlight
Staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. They had an umbrella on offer when it was rainy, allowed me to switch rooms our of the basement without any discussion and were helpful when I had trouble with adjusting the airco. Breakfast was tasty, and fresh fruit and vegetables were on offer. No personalised eggs available, but there were English breakfast items, yoghurt/cereal items and bread/pastries. The 'club room' I was in had a decent size comfortable shower and very good bed. The location is great, just a couple of minutes walking from Paddington station and Hyde Park, with Santander rental bikes available around the corner.
Nothing really. Perhaps the price, which was quite steep.
