Amazing hotel in a beautiful location.
Pros:

Very well located close to the mountain on the other side or the busy town. Close to the river so you can hear the water rushing past while in your room. Spacious rooms that were clean and comfortable bed. A nice garden with flowers where you can sit and have tea and look at the mountain. It’s one or the oldest hotels established in 1903 and the same family own it. It’s been renovated but still has charm and history. Very friendly staff. Mountain facing room was amazing with a private balcony. Food was delicious

Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr gut, ebenso der Kaffee.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Matterhornblick gebucht, aber effektiv gab es von unserem Zimmer aus keinen Matterhornblick. Nur von der gemeinsamen Terrasse, wenn man sich vor den Eingang zum Nachbarzimmer stellte, konnte man zwischen einem riesigen Kran und einem Baugerüst das Matterhorn erspähen. Wir fanden dieses Zimmerangebot, bei dem prominent mit dem Matterhornblick geworben wurde, irreführend und hätten definitiv nicht 50 CHF mehr bezahlt, um einen Kran und eine Baustelle anzuschauen. Das Zimmer befand sich im Parterre an der unteren Strasse und war wegen der Baustelle etwas dunkel und wegen dem Fluss etwas laut.

Optimales Hotel für einen Kurzurlaub in Zermatt. Sehr gutes und preiswertes Angebot. Wir buchen sicherlich wieder.
