Pleasant, quiet hotel in a lovely historic building, but not operating at 5* level
Pros:

Bed linen was great quality, as were the shampoo, body wash and hair conditioner provided. The building is gorgeous and beautifully developed. The location was good too: fairly central but quiet. Reception staff were very professional.

Cons:

From the photos on the booking.com website, I was expecting a minibar. On arrival, there was nothing, apart from basic coffee and tea facilities, with two teeny 10ml containers of milk. Even that was not replenished by room service on day 2. The fridge was bare. On further investigation, it was apparent that you could ask for the minibar to be stocked, but items would, of course, be chargeable. The hospitality offer was basic and certainly not as generous or imaginative as the photos on the booking.com website would indicate. Overall, the five stars are not merited in my view.

Unique and attractive place to stay in Lille, France
Pros:

Excellent hotel. Very attractive XV century building meticulously renovated. Friendly and efficient reception. Nice bar. Silent room with very good bed and all comfort. Walking distance from the grand place. Breakfast is copious and served in an marvelous setting.
