Pros:

Clean room, not super far from restaurants and within 20 minutes walk to wharf.

Cons:

They had on going construction of the pool that I was placed next too, very loud and unsafe practices of not closing the stairs next to it, debris from the power chisels was reaching the stairs when I first walked down to the room. I was not even informed that the pool area was closed while checking in. I booked it for the hot tub so big let down. Room was a bit dated with an odd bump under the carpet near the bathroom, could see people tripping on it.

An upgraded motel
Pros:

Room size, bathroom

Cons:

It’s more of a motel, definitely not a 4 stars hotel.
The pool was in maintenance, and no one told us in advance- we chose this place for the kids to have an activity.

I did not stay the room was so filthy I left. Requested a refund
Pros:

Room was dirty. Had trash from previous tenants. I found a freaking dirty sock!! Ac was broke, sink was clogged, bed sheets were stained. It was disgusting!!

Cons:

Cleaned the room.

It was a pleasant experience.
Pros:

Breakfast was tasty. The bistro was wonderful. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The location was nice. I would definitely stay here again.

Cons:

The only thing that I did not enjoy was sleeping in the bed. I have never been happy with any bed I’ve slept in at any hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Everything else was wonderful.

Pros:

Guys, this is not a 4 star hotel! Who gave you this rating? The room smells awful. The tiles from the bathroom were loose, a really hazard for the kids especially. Everything was outdated. Is speaking about breakfast, which was included, it was a joke. Literally a joke. I have never seen such a poor and small breakfast food at a hotel before. And you are charging $500k per night. Mind blowing. I was expecting at least decent conditions for this price. Disgusted and hope that more people read this review and not go there.

Great place - good location, good service, and nice rooms.
Pros:

Liked the overnight oats - more healthy options for breakfast, please! Great location - easy to walk to downtown Monterey. Clean rooms and good service.

Cons:

Needed a full length mirror in the room and there was room for it.

Great stay!
Pros:

Such a nice stay! All the staff was so helpful and accommodating. The rooms are spacious, the beds and pillows so comfy. A nice breakfast, a great location, just a wonderful stay!

A real find in Monterey!
Pros:

This was a lovely find, reasonable, friendly, comfortable and centrally located. The room was comfortable with a lovely well appointed bathroom with tub--a real treat. It was quiet and the staff helpful and friendly. A great place to stay.

Just like home
Pros:

Whenever we are in Monterey, we always stay here. We enjoy the peaceful, clean and friendly environment.
The food is great both for breakfast and dining. Nice bar and friendly staff.
Cleanliness is important to us and this place has it dialed in.
We have even done laundry.
Best place to stay and feel at home.
Great central location.
