Hotel très bien situé près de la plage. Chambre avec balcon. Petit magasin à côté de la réception. Laverie au sous-sol
La piscine ou les abords ne sont pas attrayants.
Ca va
The location was very convenient , only a block away from Waikiki Beach. The atmosphere in the foyer and even the hotel facade from outside was very dated, way back to the 80s, maybe even 70s, from the furniture to the decor to the paint on the walls. An upgrade to refresh the foyer would increase the appeal.
The rooms weren't much better...very basic amenities, however it was a clean room albeit very small and tight for 4 people and even required a roll-in bed, making it very difficult to just walk in the room.
Some additional toiletries such as ear buds, shower cap, sanitary pads and band-aids would have made a huge difference.
Coffee machine was available, plus tea bags but no water kettle - this should be a standard offering, not requiring to request one specifically.
Value - I would have expected the above mentioned items included given the cost of the room.
Onsite games room for the kids was good to connect, had billiards, Foosball and arcade games for a fun time. Onsite laundry and dryer was convenient but being told to download the app to use them was redundant as could just pay by card. Outdoor pool was clean, towels provided but one was stained, need to throw those away not reuse them for other guests.
Service was great from the room service staff and the cafes, with breakfast included, however we weren't provided with the vouchers on check-in and weren't advised until the 2nd day, however the manager reimbursed us and provided us with vouchers for the remainder of our stay. Both cafes had hearty and fresh breakfast options to choose from.
The hotel was conveniently located near the beach, but overall, it felt like a typical overcrowded resort. Additional resort fees were charged that were not clearly included in the original price, which was disappointing.
The morning buffet was very busy and fairly basic, with long lines and little that stood out. I paid extra to upgrade the room, but it still had several maintenance issues, including a leaking faucet, a flickering television, and sliding doors that did not lock properly.
The location was one of the better features. We were able to walk downtown one evening, although there were many homeless individuals in the area and numerous signs warning guests not to leave belongings in their vehicles. It was unfortunate to see in such a beautiful destination.
The hotel appears as though it may have been impressive in its prime, but it now feels dated and in need of significant updates and maintenance. Considering the upgrade cost and additional fees, the overall experience did not meet expectations.
Waikiki Resort Hotel is the "go to" hotel when you stay in Waikiki. It is located a block from Waikiki Beach, which means there are plenty of restaurants and shopping to explore. You cannot see the beach from the hotel rooms, but you can walk to the beach in about a minute. The hotel itself appears older, but the lobby has "character", the staff are friendly, and the rooms are very clean. Because I booked the rooms directly almost two months in advance, I received a promotional discount, which made the rooms very affordable. I have to say the highlight of the stay was Breakfast. Yes, breakfast. Breakfast was free because I booked directly. The Ilima Cafe serves excellent, to die for, breakfasts. In addition to the typical breakfast of pancakes, eggs, toast, and omelets, where else can you enjoy Korean Kalbi or Loco Moco using Wagyu beef? I have to admit the cafe was very busy and the wait was sometimes long, but it was worth it. This hotel also offers classes such as yoga, lei making, ukulele and hula lessons. I enjoyed the early morning yoga on the beach with instructor, Paige, from Zen Fitness. An extra bonus was a full rainbow which appeared on the horizon while we were lying down listening to sounds from a crystal bowl. Thank you staff for making my weeklong stay pleasant and enjoyable.
Very good location , bell staff the best
The only negative thing I have to say is the door closer should be adjusted or at least taken off ,reason the doors are always slamming and at 2 am when you are sleeping and the party people arriving we'll gess what you get awaken .
not fun
Beach was close , The pool area at resort was small with table but no umbrellas for shade, No entertainment, yoga was basically all was offered. buffet breakfast was sad and way overpriced for the selection. Restaurant was good but only serves breakfast. Clean rooms and cleaning staff was great. We were on our25 th anniversary and ask for a upgrade but no was the answer after every request. Very sad and disappointment with the front desk staff. We stayed for 2 weeks and surely they must have been able to accommodate us with a water view in that time frame. I would like to get somewhat of a rebate for the unsatisfied stay we had due to the fact of the great amount of money we spent on staying at this hotel. Why we have stayed at many resorts around the world this is the bottom of the barrel and will be surly spreading the word on Social Media if we are not offered something for our disappointment. When hotels use the name Resort in their name it is highly misleading when they are no where close a resort.
Location is good
Dirty and outdated. Most stuff in the room barely worked. TV did not work, coffee maker did not work.
Best hotel for the price and location. The daily free breakfast was way more than I expected, included delicious steak and eggs! The only issue I had was not being able to plan a late checkout. I had to call at 9AM the day of checkout and was told no. We had a late flight and were a family of 10 with 3 rooms so even a 1 room late checkout would have made all the difference in the world. They did hold our bags but with little kids it was too difficult to do anything that last day. Would definitely stay here again, with the reasonable rates next time I'll just book an extra night if we have a late flight!
Location great. Good games room. Cost effective accomodation
very dated however reflective with price.
ワイキキでも老舗のホテルゆえ、とても親切で快適だった。
ちょっと老朽化が進んでいるかな?トイレなども最新だとありがたい。
Good
Too much time for Check in.
