It would be nice if they provided a tea and coffee set.
Pros:

Very close to the centre, with an old-fashioned American vibe. Stylish, cosy and everything’s nearby!

Cons:

There are no kettles or crockery in the rooms; you have to go down to the lobby to get hot water. There isn’t a water cooler either. This detracts slightly from the overall impression.

I would stay again if I needed to be in mid town.

The location.

Cons:

The lobby is comfortable with lots of seating options. Elevators are small but work well. The rooms are a decent size and extremely clean but a bit dark and depressing. The room decor is awful.

Great location, good value, excellent staff.
Pros:

My daughter had her heart set on a room with a view of the street, but our room faced another building/alley. Several hours after we checked in, she asked if we could switch rooms, just for the view. The staff member was very nice and accommodating and switched our room immediately. We were in a new, street view room within 10 minutes!

Cons:

There wasn't anything that I didn't like.

A great stay at Hotel St James
Pros:

Exceptional helpful staff and close to everything. Rooms are a good size and there is a bathtub and shower.
Bed was comfortable and had a great night sleep.

Water could have been hotter in the shower
