Good parking facility & easy to find.
We loved the lounge access which was included with our room rate. Good selection of drinks & snacks inc wines & beers between 6-8. Very comfortable seating with a lovely view of the Tyne. Large bedroom, very comfortable bed & pillows. Good sized tv although not many channels a available
I was disappointed that our room did not feature a fridge as we like to have access to cold drinks without leaving our room. Also we had chosen a room with a balcony due to the time of year but our room was on the corner & had very limited space in comparison to the other balconies. We were also looking directly at maintenance work on Tyne bridge which was very noisy so not the serene balcony experience we had expected.
Breakfast, while plentiful, did not have the usual ‘Hilton’ feel, not as greater choice as in others we have stayed at. Also the ordered fried eggs and omelettes were not well made
Excellent breakfast and location will definitely visit again
I was happy with the overall service and hotel and staff putting chocolate and a card in our room for my husband’s birthday was a great touch too .
The room was lovely – modern, clean and very homely. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we both had a great night’s sleep. The room service staff member was friendly and helpful. One thing to be aware of if you’re travelling with children is that the TV only has basic channels and doesn’t have apps such as Netflix or Disney+, so it’s worth bearing that in mind if you’re relying on it for entertainment.
I booked through Booking.com and assumed payment would be taken at check-in. I had forgotten my purse but had Apple Pay, so I didn’t expect any issues. However, I was told a physical card was required, despite this not being mentioned anywhere in my confirmation emails. When I explained I only had Apple Pay, I was met with a sigh. I was then left waiting at reception with my 4-year-old for around 15 minutes while staff tried to send me a payment link, which only arrived after it was sent from the receptionist’s work email. There was no apology for the inconvenience.
I also wasn’t given any information about check-out, the hotel facilities or luggage assistance, despite travelling alone with a young child.
The pool was nice, but there was a sticky brown substance on the floor near the loungers, and a staff member poured liquid into a nearby drain while guests were using the pool area. Staff also seemed confused about the pool booking system, even though guests are instructed to book in advance. There was also a swimming teacher waiting by the pool who appeared to be watching guests while waiting for lessons to start, which made the atmosphere feel uncomfortable.
Finally, room service took over an hour to arrive. Although I appreciated the apology and complimentary drinks, our food didn’t arrive until almost 9pm, which isn’t ideal when travelling with a young child.
A warning that this review is going to be slightly biased as I was given the “Guest of the Day” award upon check in. This resulted in me being upgraded to the King Executive One Bedroom Suite with Balcony, which was on the top floor and most recently refurbished. It was amazing.
The staff I interacted with in this visit were fantastic and the whole visit was fantastic.
We made use of the executive lounge, bar and restaurant for breakfast. All very good.
Highly recommended.
Konum gayet iyi. Yakinda Tesco var. Guzel, temiz, yeni odalar.

Just back from a wonderful overnight stay at this hotel..Despite all the road works going on around the area, there was no impact on our stay. Check in was very welcoming..we got an upgrade to the Executive Lounge and enjoyed Jane's hospitality..we ate in the resturant and Beth done a great job..the food was excellent. At breakfast Ben finished of in style with his wonderful service along with a super selection to choose from...Well done all ...keep up the great work..👏👏👏
The location is lovely and the view across the quayside is worth the cost of the room

Odada mini bar olmayışını.
Really nice hotel. Clean and nicely put together. Very close to tons of bars.
Was there for fun with the UK Escapology show.
stayed for one night, average hotel. Booked a family sized plus extra bed, only had one bed. Shower temperature didn't work and shower head leaked. Could do with a mini fridge in the room. Rooms are clean and bar/food area nice, but would not recommend for a solo traveller on business.
Staying at the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead on 07/07/2026 felt like a good omen—7 is my lucky number! 🍀
Normally, as a Hilton member, I choose my room the night before, but this time one was allocated automatically. Knowing the hotel was incredibly busy, I didn’t think much of it… and what a surprise when I opened the door! I had been upgraded to a beautifully refurbished suite on the 4th floor. The room was stunning, with a fantastic sitting area and a fresh, modern feel.
It was also great to see the newly refurbished Executive Lounge, which looks fantastic. Even better, the lovely lady in the lounge was still there. She once helped make my wedding anniversary incredibly special, so it was wonderful to see her again. It’s those familiar faces and personal touches that keep me coming back.
Breakfast was excellent as always - the made-to-order omelettes never disappoint. I also squeezed in a quick gym session, enjoyed a swim in the pool, and then it was back to work.
Another fantastic stay. Thank you to the whole team for your warm hospitality. Looking forward to seeing you all again in a couple of weeks!

The location was excellent. Lovely views to the River Tyne, including the bridges. The pool was small, but enough. You need to book a slot and get 45 mins . Buffet breakfast was good and had plenty of choice.
Not being given full information when I called to discuss the pool times, age limits, etc. I booked through booking.com, but I did call the hotel itself to ask some questions, and it turned out I'd been given incorrect information. They need to be correct about information they are giving out.
The whole thing
