A comfortable stay.
Pros:

Location --- we had to get to the station when we left --- and the breakfast was copious and set us up for the day!

Cons:

The room had an extra bed settee set up in a corner, it would not have been possible to use the coffee-making facilities if we had wished to. But for a short one -night stay it posed no problems.

Great Location, but Poorly Maintained
Pros:

Great location! Easy walking to Portsmouth Navy Yard, waterfront, train station.

Cons:

Poorly maintained; by far the worst Holiday Inn we've ever been to. AC wasn't working (has been out for several months). Toilet didn't work without pumping the handle several times. 2 of 3 USB receptacles were broken. 1/2 of the lights in bathroom were out.
Breakfast was typical mediocre hotel food; including really bad coffee from machine and fake scrambled eggs (we experienced both of these in a few hotels!).
No safe or refrig in room.

Comfortable, convenient and reasonably priced
Pros:

Excellent location, so convenient for the Dockyards and Spinnaker Tower - the GunWharf Quays centre too, where there are plenty of choice of eateries. Also, the car park is very close by, and reasonably priced. Breakfast was good, and room very comfortable

We had a pleasant stay and would book again but I would make sure we got a decent room.
Pros:

The location was great, the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

The bed in the room we were given on our first night was awful, it dipped in the middle, which would be fine for 1 person but very uncomfortable for 2. Also it was at the end of 2 long corridors and had no view. To be fair we complained the next morning and the staff were very helpful and changed us to another room. It was inconvenient and I was disappointed we were given such a poor room to begin our 2 night stay.

The convenience of the area, and the excellent breakfast.

Cons:

The place is very tired our sink had a number of cracks in it. The pillows were old and lumpy. Stains on the carpet definitely needs a refurbished.
