Wonderful Hotel Experience
Pros:

My fiance' booked a room in the Market Pavilion Hotel for two nights in July 2026, and it was wonderful. The hotel has a very old world, classy and elegant vibe about it.
Our room was on the fourth floor overlooking the Marketplace, it was impeccably clean and very comfortable. The in room fridge was a nice touch, as was the beautiful armoire that contained personal his and hers, terry cloth robes and slippers. The bed was extremely comfortable, and I am the worlds most finicky person when it comes to comfortable beds. We had dinner in the first floor restaurant one evening, and at the suggestion of our waiter, we tried the nitro infused cocktails that they are famous for. The entire dinner was an excellent experience. We also enjoyed time at the rooftop bar and pool. This is where we will stay whenever we return to Charleston.

A great hotel in a great location.
Pros:

Comfortable bed. Twice daily coffee and pastry service. Amazing location. And the rooftop pool and bar were a welcome place to visit after a long day of touring the city.

A bit on the expensive side

Beautiful room . Poor choice if you want to eat well
Cons:

I stay at this hotel due to location
They only have room service in afternoon and evening. Knowing they charge an extra 20$ for this service I did order onion soup and oysters.Rockefeller . The oysters smelled and tasted like old fish. Maybe this is why I don't eat at their restaurant. Two doors down and across the street have great restaurants . Not coming back. I like to know room service is available for at least breakfast.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay there the next time we’re in Charleston!
Pros:

Great Hotel, location was excellent, and staff were very nice and accommodating! The lobby bar with Clark( bartender) who takes very good care of you. The rooftop bar and view of downtown Charleston was also great!

Cons:

Even though the hotel provides pastries, muffins , and cookies with coffee on each floor in the morning,I wish their lobby resturant would serve breakfast and lunch. They are open for dinner though.

A beautiful hotel in the perfect location.
Pros:

The location was right next to the market, within a three minute walk of all the restaurants recommended to me and five blocks from KING Street . Every morning there was coffee, fruit and pastries on a cart on our floor. The place was better than we hoped.

Pros:

We liked everything about this hotel, location, staff, etc.

Cons:

The restaurant in the hotel is quite nice and the food was very good. BUT, with the bar nearby it was very noisy and prevented from us having a lovely evening at a nice restaurant. The management was present but did nothing to help the situation. Some people just cannot handle their drinks! But, the staff should help making the place nice for everyone.
