Let’s start with the only positives: The hotel is in a great London location, and the rooms themselves are modern and nice. Unfortunately, the service and staff attitude have made this an absolutely miserable stay.
Here is why I cannot recommend this hotel:
The Billing Nightmare: I woke up to an unexpected, additional pre-authorization charge taken on my card in the middle of the night. The situation only started moving toward a resolution because I had to constantly push and complain. While management eventually sent a boilerplate apology, there was zero proactiveness.
Total Housekeeping Failure: You would think that after a major financial hiccup, a brand like Hyatt would focus on making sure nothing else went wrong. Instead, my room was left entirely unmade twice—this is despite me explicitly asking the staff for service and leaving the cleaning sign on the door.
Unbelievably Unfriendly Staff: It is now late into the evening, and I am still trying to get basic fresh towels. When I followed up with the team just so I could finally go to sleep, the staff was incredibly rude and unfriendly. No empathy, no accountability, just pure hostility for asking for a basic amenity.
When you stay at a Hyatt, you expect a premium experience. Getting a canned apology for a billing error while being treated poorly by the staff just for wanting to go to bed is completely unacceptable. Beautiful building, but the service is a total disaster.
Very pleasant hotel at an excellent location. Rooms are clean, there is no noise. Service is impeccable. Internet is excellent. There was no desk in the room, but I used the table in the Hyatt Regency Club.
I want to express my sincere gratitude to the hotel staff, especially the two security agents, Josiah and Daniel, who made me feel safe and supported during my stay. I experienced an uncomfortable harassment situation, and both of them handled it with professionalism, kindness, and care. They took my concerns seriously and made sure I felt protected at all times.
It’s reassuring to know that the hotel has staff members who genuinely care about the safety and well-being of their guests. I truly appreciate their help and hope the hotel recognizes their excellent work.
Location is not bad considering if you want to go to closeby spots. Other than that, the bus was on strike during my stay, going to west end of London became tough.
The rooms are spacious but not other pool or additional add-ons. The value is not bad, and offers okay lounge for Globalists. Breakfast was okay.
Too many group tourists from other countries, and the noise level became so bad when it comes to that. Service is still at good level.
Das Hotel liegt gut sehr nahe an U-Bahn und Bahnhof direkt Verbindung mit Zug nach Flughafen Gatwick nur 35 Minuten oder nach Brighton.
Alles war sehr gut, London ist eine Reise wert.
We are loyal to the Hyatt brand, however when you book a "Family Suite" you may end up in a handicap room (which we are not) and a joining room that the employee had to get permission to unlock and check what room we booked was rather insulting since they knew we had the "FS". The pictures looked nothing like the "Family Suite". We've booked FS at other Hyatt locations in other countries never ever a problem in some cases our room would be upgraded depending on availability due to our status within Hyatt. Our room was not ready by 3pm more around 3:45pm. We were told "Another family checked out at 2pm that are Explorist that why your suite isn't available yet". WE are also Explorist status with Hyatt. The front desk never greeted us like many other Hyatt properties...."Thank you for being a Hyatt Ex. member". Or "Thank you for being a Hyatt member. When the handicap room became available first we called downstairs to bring us a chair. They brought us an old employee looking break room chair. This hotel is charming. The bar and restaurant teams are wonderful! No complaints on housekeeping. There was also a very nice man that was standing helping with our luggage and spoke several languages he always had a smile. It seems the hotel needs some better management. It seemed the blame was always on someone else. Not taking accountability for their mistakes.
I have mixed feelings about our stay. We found the hotel's location to be incredibly convenient, particularly with the Blackfriars Underground station right across the street (that being said, it is noisy as a result. Try to get a room . Additionally, the staff members were consistently friendly and helpful throughout my visit.
However, I was disappointed by the food and housekeeping services. We experienced inconsistent pricing for breakfast each day, and the room service was underwhelming, characterized by a long wait time and poor food quality. Furthermore, housekeeping did not attend to our room on our second day, which meant that our dinner trays from the previous night remained in the room until the day after.
Great location and lovely stay at the Hyatt Blackfriars. It is across the street from the tube so easy to use public transportation. The hotel is perfectly clean and the staff was superior. I liked the bedding a lot. I received complimentary breakfast and access to the club lounge with good cocktail hour food. The hotel is quiet. I didn't hear my neighbors at all. I recommend.
Ça m’a malheureusement bcp impacté.
Had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were beautifully remodeled with strong AC, the most comfortable beds and sheets I have ever slept in, wonderful showers. The hotel is gorgeous on the inside. The staff were friendly and polite. The tube is right across the street and we were able to walk to so many landmarks. Everything was wonderful.
Great location, fantastic stuff, perfect hotel. We couldn't have been happier with our stay. Everyone was eager to help with any needs that we had.
