Very conveniently situated for exploring London. Comfortable and spacious accommodation.
Our family of 4 stayed at the hotel for 3 night. We were not overly impressed.
The hotel itself although good is a bit too shabby to be called 5 star. Guest services were a mixed bag depending on the person you get. We got wrong advice a few times. I would expect overall to be better trained as a team to help travellers.
Restaurant staff wasn’t very competent. During brunch plates and glasses were often missing and not refilled despite a lot of service people floating around. Dinner servers were incompetent.
Management needs to do a better job training and rooms should be kept up to date on painting and water and tear. It’s a good 4 star hotel but falls very short of 5 stars.
Used this hotel 2-3 times before. Great condition, comfortable beds and good location, especially if arriving by Thameslink from say Herts or Cambridge.
I was charged £40 for an early check-in despite them not being able to provide it when I arrived. Waiting for them to reply on this and provide a refund.
Get a room at the back of the hotel or your view is a noisy street and Blackfriars tube station.
La cuisine du restaurant doit améliorer ses prestations, plus que moyennes pour un établissement de ce niveau.
I would like to commend the hotel’s security officers, Josiah and Daniel, for their professionalism and support during an incident that occurred during my stay. Their prompt response helped me feel safe and secure throughout my stay. Thank you for your dedication and excellent service.
Central location with easy access to the Tube, Blackfriars and Millennium bridges, the City and South Bank. Clean, quiet, comfortable, modern rooms with good air conditioning (which was extremely helpful during the recent heat wave!). Friendly staff who were attentive and detail oriented.
Besutiful hotel.. everything clean and very convenient Took train from gatwick directly to hotel ( train and subway station directly across from hotel. ) breakfast buffet was great.. lots of variety There was also a happy hour that offered drinks and snacks
We will stay there again on our visit to London
Let’s start with the only positives: The hotel is in a great London location, and the rooms themselves are modern and nice. Unfortunately, the service and staff attitude have made this an absolutely miserable stay.
Here is why I cannot recommend this hotel:
The Billing Nightmare: I woke up to an unexpected, additional pre-authorization charge taken on my card in the middle of the night. The situation only started moving toward a resolution because I had to constantly push and complain. While management eventually sent a boilerplate apology, there was zero proactiveness.
Total Housekeeping Failure: You would think that after a major financial hiccup, a brand like Hyatt would focus on making sure nothing else went wrong. Instead, my room was left entirely unmade twice—this is despite me explicitly asking the staff for service and leaving the cleaning sign on the door.
Unbelievably Unfriendly Staff: It is now late into the evening, and I am still trying to get basic fresh towels. When I followed up with the team just so I could finally go to sleep, the staff was incredibly rude and unfriendly. No empathy, no accountability, just pure hostility for asking for a basic amenity.
When you stay at a Hyatt, you expect a premium experience. Getting a canned apology for a billing error while being treated poorly by the staff just for wanting to go to bed is completely unacceptable. Beautiful building, but the service is a total disaster.
Very pleasant hotel at an excellent location. Rooms are clean, there is no noise. Service is impeccable. Internet is excellent. There was no desk in the room, but I used the table in the Hyatt Regency Club.
I want to express my sincere gratitude to the hotel staff, especially the two security agents, Josiah and Daniel, who made me feel safe and supported during my stay. I experienced an uncomfortable harassment situation, and both of them handled it with professionalism, kindness, and care. They took my concerns seriously and made sure I felt protected at all times.
It’s reassuring to know that the hotel has staff members who genuinely care about the safety and well-being of their guests. I truly appreciate their help and hope the hotel recognizes their excellent work.
