My flight from the east coast was delayed, so I ended up getting into Portland in the middle of the night. Knowing this, I called ahead and asked to please hold my reservation. Got through to the front desk right away and the staff member was very helpful and gave me information about the 24 hour shuttle. When my flight landed, I called and the staff person mentioned they were sending the shuttle for me. He was there waiting for me when I got to the shuttle area! Personal service! Such a friendly and nice driver and it was a quick ride to the hotel. They checked me in right away to a super clean, super comfortable suite....at that point, it felt like paradise for sure. I slept like a queen.
The breakfast bar was the very best of any I've ever had at the hotels that include it. Many choices, fresh, tasty, healthy. Super nice breakfast attendant.
They allowed me an extension on my time so I could catch up on things due to the travel delay.
As I was leaving, I took a seat in the lobby to wait for my Uber and the front desk attendant was so sweet, giving me all kinds of suggestions.
I HIGHLY recommend this hotel.
I think this is a renovated property. It’s a work in progress. Ice machine only on some floors. Elevator is slow & old. Great location though. Staff are super friendly and helpful.
The room was big and nice
The pool was closed, toilet overflowed all over my clothes had to wash them
The location was good for sightseeing and the cost was family friendly.
The pool wasn’t always in use, which isn’t a huge thing, but definitely disappointed the kids.
System down, took multiple staff hours to sign in after going paper first. Could have comped a little something for 45 min wait in lobby
Needs some fixing.
Staff were great. Breakfast was good. Room was clean.
Overall the hotel is far more dated and worn than the other SpringHill Suites I have stayed at.
For example, the caulk around the bathtub needs to be replaced. The desk chair was broken.
Did not meet expectations.
Clean room; accessible to restaurants; near freeway; breakfast menu could be better and sink and tub need work re: drainage. Overall, very good.
Thanks for shuttle transportation that pick up and drop us off at the airport.
Staffs are very friendly and check in time is fast.
We will book again next time/
This is not typical SpringHill Suites. The bedroom is small, just beds and a night table. Tiny closet. Living area is poorly lit. Desk lamp had a burned out single bulb, with no replacement available at the front desk, no maintenance staff on duty and desk clerk unaware of where bulbs are stored and not willing to find one in an unoccupied room. That left the desk area quite dark. AC did not cool the room adequately. The cover for the AC control panel fell off. Breakfast had fewer selections than other SpringHill properties.
On the plus side, the shuttle service was excellent and the hallways were very well lit. And the fridge was cold on arrival.
Breakfast was good
Started with calling the hotel for a shuttle pickup they wanted my name address confirmation number and the address of the hotel that I was going to so I had to stop and look all that up then they played like they couldn't find it and I asked for the manager in the miraculously found my reservation. The shuttle is marked Best Western because they share it with the hotel next door, but you have no way of knowing that it is for SpringHill Suites. Got to the hotel long wait they were taking several phone calls this more important that people at the desk. My profile says hi floor away from the elevator. I got put in a room right next to the elevator. When you pull in, the place is locked down like Fort Knox. The place is just unappealing and feels cheap, old, and dirty. The front door is locked down it does not feel safe here. I'm not sure how they keep the Marriott name attached to this one.
The room only has one mirror and it’s in the restroom not convenient for a group of 5 girls.
Bathtub was clogged
The area can sometimes be unsafe specially for vehicle, also very limited choices in term of food
