The distance to the Philharmonic Hall across the street; the bed sheets; the two different restaurants; the friendly staff; the cleanliness throughout the hotel; the spa facilities; the breakfast; the supplied toiletries in our bathroom; the quietness in the hotel; the size of the bath.
10/10 !!!!!!
What's not to like. The place blew me away, and I will definitely return.
The hotel is very well appointed and stylish, spacious room, very comfortable bed and in an excellent location. The staff were helpful.
It lacks parking but we had no problem parking in the Cathedral car park down the road overnight. The evening meal in the main restaurant was very expensive and the portions were small and rather salty. We had an excellent and much cheaper breakfast in one of the neighbouring cafes.
My husband & I stayed at the hotel for a special event. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was excellent & the catering & service at dinner was superb. We have stayed at Hope Street Hotel many times & we always find the staff very welcoming & professional in their roles. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending a stay there
Always a great experience at this hotel, whether it’s staying, eating or just drinks. Staff are unrelentingly cheerful . Food is good (not great) and reasonably priced. The atmosphere is one of a boutique hotel in any big city -cosmopolitan, relaxed, confident -but with a scouse overlay.
My rating is harsh but the one thing you want from a hotel? A good sleep. But I had a very noisy room - despite asking for a quiet one - where two main roads intersected. It was a newer part of the hotel and I decided to be optimistic and trust their choice. On hindsight, I should have asked to move straight away. (The staff later said they hadn’t even seen my request for quiet.) Bad sleep obviously . Works going on in the room above from 7.30-8.30am too, so bye bye cosy lie-in. Not the restful spa/hotel break needed. Unhappy I paid for this as a treat. No rewards or recognition for loyalty either - I’ve been staying here for over 20 years and always ask to stay away from the lifts and traffic. But it’s like they’ve never seen me before, every time I visit. And so something is always disappointing. Prices have also rocketed, especially in 1931. Even the tray charge is up - all in hidden places that do rack up. This might finally be my last stay here.
Pluses? Why I used to stay? The rooms are clean and comfortable, people are nice. Building and location are very good.
The location on Hope Street is nice, with quite a few eating options around it is great. The options at the hotel are very nice, but we stayed with a group that lived locally or at other hotels, so that there were cafés just across the street also was a nice variation. The hotel itself is great with all its wooden vibe and that there's no carpets but wooden floors in the room I stayed in. Feels clean, and with a zen like Scandinavian/Japanese tranquil feeling.
Like with any old building that has been repurposed, there's a maze of stairs and unintuitive corridors. Some would say that this adds to the cosiness. The sign posting is clear and nice, so it's not a problem, but a few days in I still wasn't sure if I went the optimal way to my room.
Had the best time ever at this hotel! The room was gorgeous and filled with everything we needed and the view was beautiful. Will definitely be coming back whenever I get the chance. Dinner and breakfast in the hotel was also 10/10 . Great atmosphere and lovely staff . Couldn’t be happier
The perfect stay!
We had a fantastic stay at Hope Street Hotel from start to finish. The room was brilliant, clean, comfortable, and finished to a very high standard. The staff were equally impressive, everyone we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and happy to help with anything we needed.
One of the things we loved most was that the hotel had everything we needed and more. Between the comfortable room, great facilities, restaurant, bar and spa, we genuinely didn't need to leave the hotel if we didn't want to. It made for a really relaxing and enjoyable stay.
The hotel has a great atmosphere and is in an excellent location for exploring Liverpool. Honestly, we couldn't fault a thing and have nothing bad to say about our experience.
We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city. Best hotel in Liverpool!
Clean and modern
Bridal suite is lovely
Easy parking near the cathedral
Staff friendly
Bar nice
Breakfast good
The whole experience, it was so convenient to the places we needed to be for the weekend which centred on Hope Street.
I cannot think of anything
We were given a free upgrade never had that before so made our day. All staff friendly and approachable we had a lovely stay. We went to the Philharmonic Theatre so was perfect just across the road.l
I stayed at hope street hotel for work. Its location is perfect in a great part of town, slightly away from the noisy city center but within easy walking distance. Near university and the cathedrals. Very nicely presented and clean. Staff amazing. Great restaurants on site but others just a stones throw away if you want to venture out. Spa smelt gorgeous but I didn’t have the chance to visit. Temple spa toiletries a real treat in room.
Love the location the cool vibe and the spa
All good
We have stayed here many times.
It is ideally located for restaurants and good pubs as well as across the road from the Liverpool Philharmonic hall. The staff are all excellent both in their friendly attitude and professionalism.
The rooms are spotlessly clean and well decorated.
I would highly recommend this hotel
Good friendly staff, good sized rooms and fab breakfast
The hotel is a little bit out of the centre
