Goed hotel, personeel mag vriendelijker
Pros:

De ligging is prima, met parkeermogelijkheid. Wel aan de prijs, 25 euro per nacht. De kamers zijn (erg) klein, maar zeer schoon. De twee dames in het bargedeelte waren erg vriendelijk.

Cons:

De ontvangst bij de receptie kan echt een stuk vriendelijker, er kon net een goededag vanaf, er werd niets uitgelegd (bv over het ontbijt), ook wanneer je langs de receptie liep, kon er nog geen lachje vanaf bij de dames. In de ontbijtzaal staat een plaat, waarop staat welkom bij het vriendelijke personeel of zoiets, dat vriendelijke mag je gerust weglaten…

Mercure Hannover Mitte
Pros:

We stayed at this hotel for three nights, from August 7 to August 10, 2026, and overall we had a very pleasant experience.

The location is excellent. The hotel is within walking distance of both the city centre and a train station, which made getting around very easy. We could go shopping in the city, return to the hotel to leave our bags, and then continue exploring without any difficulty.

When we first entered our room, we noticed a noise coming from the ventilation system. Since we had not yet settled in, we immediately requested another room, and the staff kindly arranged this for us. We really appreciate their quick response. The hotel itself is located in a very quiet area, so there were absolutely no problems with outside noise.

We had also requested a twin room away from the elevators and stairs, preferably in a quiet area, and the hotel was able to accommodate this request as well.

One of the highlights of our stay was definitely the breakfast. Turkish people particularly appreciate a good breakfast, and this hotel really did an excellent job. The breakfast was impressive both in terms of variety and taste. There were different types of olives and cheese, yoghurt, muesli, eggs, salads, fresh fruit, a wide selection of coffee and tea, jams, honey, and many other options. The croissants were especially delicious and had an authentic French-style taste. There was also freshly made waffles, and with such a wide selection, nobody could possibly leave breakfast hungry.

Our room was cleaned regularly and the towels were changed. The staff were friendly, helpful and always welcoming. The blackout curtains were also very useful for getting a good night's sleep.there is a nice park front the hotel.

The room had a tea and coffee-making machine as well as a refrigerator. The liquid soap and shower gel provided in the bathroom were good quality. The bed and pillows were comfortable, although of course this can vary depending on personal preference.

Cons:

Many Turkish people travel throughout Germany and Europe, and there are television channels from many different countries available in the hotel. However, we could not find a single Turkish television channel in the room, despite looking for one. Adding at least one Turkish channel would be a nice touch, especially considering the large number of Turkish travellers in Germany and Europe.
The in-room safe was also not working properly. A member of staff came to our room twice and tried to fix it, but unfortunately the problem could not be resolved. We did not consider this a major problem because we were able to leave our valuables safely in the hotel's main safe. The hotel also offered to change our room, which we appreciated, but by that point we had already settled in and preferred to stay in our room. Nevertheless, I would recommend that the in-room safes be checked before guests arrive and that each room be fully prepared and ready for use at check-in
