Location
We were told we an upgraded room. However, the wallpaper was peeling. There was no cover on entry door light. The toilet would run randomly throughout the night which was disturbing.
We purposely stayed because of the breakfast offer. However, the coffee machine was out of order
and the hot breakfast was stone cold.
Was close to the waterfront, people were friendly. I had my dog with me so I stayed in the basement in a small room
Parking is shitty, I had to use the secondary parking which was up the street and the first left, was raining so I had to wait until the rain wasn't so bad and then walked back to the hotel with my dog.
Then when I was going to check out. I had to walk to get my truck and park it close to the hotel. Fortunately some parking in back of the hotel freed up so I was able to get my stuff back in the truck without hauling it all the way up the road, continental breakfast was as crappy as a continental breakfast usually is, cups are too small. The coffee machine in a room stopped working. There was no microwave for me to warm something up. The fridge was barely cold. People above me were noisy for a little while.
I would not return to this hotel.
The location
My safety was compromised on the first night (April 20th- 22nd) by giving access to my room to a total stranger who happened to be another customer. I was terrified as I was alone in my room and thought I had complete privacy while someone opened my door. I was lucky enough to run to the door before they could gain full access to me and my room. I was traumatised and fearful of sleeping that night and thereafter. Nobody came to my room to address this very massive safety breach. The next day, I happened to be in the lobby and the Manager on duty casually mentioned that he heard about what happened and apologized. An apology is NOT a resolution to what had occurred. I took the liberty of sending their corporate office an email and NO ONE has responded till date. No compensation was offered. I will NEVER recommend this place.
Good location, close to waterfront, beach and restaurants. Place was clean and modern. Staff was friendly.
Breakfast was limited, no hot food, no staff to refill cutlery or cups. Limited parking on site. There is extra parking elsewhere but is inconvenient when traveling with luggages.
Staff was nice and it was very clean and peaceful
The breakfast was great! Omelets, breakfast sausages, waffles and big banana nut muffins.
Location was very good. Walked to everything
Rooms were small. Not as clean as expected. Hair and dust in the door jam of the bathroom. Walls needed a good clean. I expected a bit more sparkle.
Nice and comfortable stay with a nice view on the lake.
The rooms are ok and equipped with everything you may need.
The staff has been kind and helpful, and the breakfast served in the lounge offers both sweet and savoury options.
Very good overall for a short stay.
The soap and shampoo containers in the shower were empty.
The hotel was within walking distance to restaurants and the main street. We originally had booked a basement king room, but we were upgraded to the main floor without asking which was a very nice surprise. Unfortunately the room had a musty smell. I asked if we could change rooms and our request was accommodated without any problem. We weren't able to get a king bed but that wasn't an issue. The room was small but cozy and we actually preferred it to the original larger room. The rooms come with a Keurig and complimentary coffees. You can easily get milk from the breakfast bar just off the lobby. The staff are very accommodating, friendly and helpful. The parking lot is small but there is free offsite parking if needed, which we did.
The bath towels are on the small size. Not a standard size. They did the job but a bigger towel would be nice. Having decaf coffee at breakfast would be a nice touch for those of us who can't have caffeine.
location, cleanliness, staff, beds were great. nice ambiance in lobby area.
there was roof repair gioing on so noisy at times. complimentary breakfast was not great.
there was a wall fireplace in our room but it didnt work!!
We had a wonderful evening and would stay here again if staying overnight in Orillia
Downtown
Very small room we were in the basement very noisy
clean and good location. it did the job.... needed a place to stay.
breakfast was all on disposable plates and was mediocre at best... room was very small and the window was small and the person who greeted us was a bit impatient with me
Excellent location.
Traffic very noisy. Our room was ground level right by the street.
It was a beautiful property, very unique and close to stores and food
the only issues we had was the parking, we had to park in a parking lot with drug addicts touching the stuff in the back of our truck, and the side of our bed had something sticking out from it that seemed to be broken, my husband hit his leg off of it a few times not realizing it was there.
