The Champlain Waterfront Hotel, an Ascend Collection Hotel

There seemed to be only one person working at the front desk during breakfast which led to her having to check people out, restock the whole breakfast area, and do the garbages etc... it was a lot for her to do (however, she did it well and with a calm attitude).

Breakfast hot items wait time to bring out to buffet due to staff shortage, front desk receptionist covering front desk and breakfast buffet , would of been better had there been additional staff at least to cover breakfast hours , also inadequate space tables to sit at during weekend when hotel full

Disappointed in the breakfast this time. :( Room could have been cleaner overall.

Staying in the basement for $300 is not ideal. Bring That didn’t show when I booked it, only afterwards which meant it was very loud with cars passing. Also breakfast options were very limited … there were no hot items just empty hot trays at 8:45am and refilling took very long that my husband and I ended up eating bagels were cream cheese. Paying $300 there should be better options. The toilet in room 102 took about 5 minutes to actually flush so it ran loudly for that amount of time. Shower had lots of rust on the bottom tiles.

Room was a tad small - two queen beds, but we were there just to sleep and move on, so it was fine.

Breakfast items weren't refilled, multiple people were waiting for refills and/or gave up after waiting for more than 20min

The size of this family room (in the basement) was definitely lower than the announced 32 m2. We were supposed to have a lounge area, which we are still looking for.
Very difficult to to just walk around the beds.

Parking was a block away, not fun when traveling late with 2 young children at night.

Bathroom was not as clean as it should have been.

Very little parking on site. We were traveling in a Ford F150 that was loaded with camping/ fishing gear. We had to park two blocks away in a public lot.
The rooms were small and the window air conditioner hung over the bed.
They seemed understaffed at the reception desk.

The Parking is behind a bar and the first thing you see as you pull into the parking lot are overflowing dumpsters and seagulls on the vehicles. The rear entrance to the hotel is dirty and shows signs of deterioration. While checking in, the cleaning staff interrupted our check to complain to the front desk clerk about the location of the room she had to clean. Then when we got to our room, another cleaning personal was blasting explicit music. And later he began cursing at the speaker when he asked “Alexa” to change his song. It made us feel very uncomfortable. It’s a shame, this hotel has such potential to be great. With some TLC in the parking lot and rear entrance as well some professional training for some of the staff.

Las habitaciónes que nos tocaron fueron en el subsuelo y no son muy atractivas y con poca luz, ademas el desayuno era bastante pobre y no havia sitio para sentarse
