Angel made sure we had a room in timely manner, made sure he interacted with us, pointed out great break lunch and dinner spots in the area. We came from DC so we didn’t know where anything was but thanks to Angel we found everything we needed while in San Diego for my Wife Birthday.
It was our first time staying so close to the beach. It was amazing. Hunter at the front desk was friendly, and gave us all the info we needed for our stay. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. It was quiet at night. Worth the price in my opinion. The view from the balcony was incredible We will definitely stay at the hotel again in the future.

Location was great for accessing beach, and restaurants. Staff were very helpful
Boardwalk crowded at times
We had a great stay at Surfer Beach Hotel. All the employees were kind. Especially Hunter who checked us in with kindness and professionalism and he gave us a call on day of travel because it was almost 7:00 pm and we hadn’t arrived yet. He was checking to make sure everything was okay with our travel and that we were still coming. We were just pulling up to the hotel when he called and He told us to park and come inside and he would help us with the link to pay for parking. Hunter is top notch! We stayed in room #405 and had a beautiful oceanfront view. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The only down side to the room is that the shower is super small. Parking spaces are also very small so parking a bigger truck or SUV can be a challenge to get in and out of your car if there is someone on either side. We will definitely stay here again and hope Hunter is still there to greet us with his professionalism.

I’m charging me for no reason
Location, location, location. Couldn't ask for a better spot.
The "renovated" room was half- hazardly updated. Small shower, no tissue in room, no hair dryer in room. There was a small table to sit at but.no chairs??

It was a little dirty, with stains on the bedspread, hair all over the bathroom, and the balcony was really dirty.
