The perfect place to stay in Glenelg - a very enjoyable experience which made our holiday in South Australia one to reme
Pros:

The location - right on the beach, with a balcony from which to watch amazing sunsets. Also close to the tram station, restaurants and shops. The perfect location in Glenelg.
The size of the apartment and TV channels (I could even watch the Suncorp Netball series).

Just a great place to stay .
Pros:

Only a $28.00 taxi from airport . Tram
Into city only a few minutes walk . Lots of food options close buy .

Sitting on the balcony watching the sun go down over the Ocean !

Cons:

The Oaks Plaza Pier gives basic amenities and their best asset is the location.
Pros:

The location is the best part of this property.

Cons:

Getting into the shower which is over the bath is treacherous. There are no grab rails and for safety reasons some people would opt out of using the shower.
The whole complex is tired. There used to be several restaurants to choose from but now there is one eatery that offers pub style meals. We can get this is the country. It was raining and cold which prevented us from going elsewhere to eat.
It was quiz night so while we were trying to eat our meal we were drowned out by the voice of the quiz master using his microphone.

A really great place to stay !
Pros:

We booked an Ocean View room - always great to hear the waves and wake up to that view of Glenelg. We've stayed there many times now. Walking distance to the marina restaurants and Jetty Road eateries and Stamford Grand Hotel.
Room was really great - full kitchen with stove top, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine/dryer in the room and a bonus coffee machine with The Coffee Club coffee pods !

Cons:

We were there for 4 days - room was not serviced - had to find the cleaners to ask for more toilet rolls. Towels were not replaced so used the same towels for 4 days.

Pier Hotel coffee orders were sometimes forgotten, and you had to go and ask a 2nd time !

Also heard that the Reception desk would not store any guests suitcases - an elderly couple, guests at the hotel were turned away ! :(

Pros:

The room was as expected from the pictures. Glenelg is a beautiful area so the morning walk was really nice. The sauna and pool were nice as well.

Cons:

They put us in a room right next to a lift and it was very loud all night. I reached out to the property prior to leaving a review and they only said "I hope you have a better stay next time".
The windows were not very sound proof either so the combination of the people outside and the lift meant that there was no chance of sleeping. The bed was pretty uncomfortable, with a hard area right in the middle where 2 beds came together.
