Best hotel Ive ever stayed
Pros:

We went on our honeymoon and everything was amazing. The Staff was very friendly and welcoming. The food was Incredible and the view from or room and the pool was breath taking. Its not a cheap hotel but it delivers what you pay for. Definitly going back when we get the chance.

Cons:

There was nothig we didnt like. If I had to mention one thing probably just the wifi connection from the room wasnt the best. But I wasnt there for the Wifi.

We highly recommend the Tivoli Carvoeiro for the attentive staff, great location and beautiful property.
Pros:

We loved the entire property. The staff was attentive and friendly. The property was pristine and had amazing views. It was so nice to be able to walk into town to do a little shopping or eat at the many local restaurants.

Hotel agradable que se ve estropeado por las ruidosas obras que se están llevando a cabo actualmente

El personal del hotel es muy amable y atento.

Cons:

Se estaban realizando obras de reforma en el hotel, lo que provocaba un ruido muy molesto desde primera hora de la mañana hasta la noche. El hotel o Booking.com deberían habernos informado de que se estaban llevando a cabo estas obras y así habríamos podido decidir si alojarnos allí o no. Algunas zonas, (piscina y Sky Bar,) en determinados momentos, estaban cerradas a clientes del hotel porque estaban reservadas para eventos privados. Un restaurante que conviene evitar es el «Japanese» del Sky Bar, quizás el peor restaurante japonés en el que hemos estado, con arroz «pastoso» y pescado mal cortado, horrible!

Hotel lindíssimo!
Pros:

Decoração bonita, vista espetacular, boa comida e opções para crianças. Um excelente hotel para se sentir em Algarve. Piscina aquecida muito boa, tamanho dos quartos e banheiros excelentes. Café da manhã muito bom!

Cons:

Recepção agendou horário do passeio, mas não informou que precisaria chegar com 30 minutos de antecedência - entendo que era essencial passar essa informação.
Banheiros com vidro e apenas uma cortina para privacidade - em quartos família não há necessidade dessa exposição.
Telefone estragado do quarto - quando avisamos não fizeram nada. Tínhamos que ir até a recepção para pedir room service e mesmo assim demoravam para atender.
Serviço de tuktuk apenas para maiores de 4 anos - é uma lei local, mas como é um hotel familiar, ideal que houvesse uma alternativa para as crianças pequenas.
Piscinas externas poderiam ser climatizadas, pois mesmo no calor extremo são muito geladas e há pouco aproveitamento.

Great break
Pros:

We stayed here for 5 nights in July 2026. We really enjoyed our stay, the views were fabulous and the staff were so friendly. The rooms were lovely with comfortable beds and modern bathrooms. Breakfast was excellent. Great rooftop bar. There is a short walk into the town or a tuk-tuk service from the hotel.

Decent hotel but not quite 5 star
Pros:

The location is excellent in terms of the dramatic setting - the sea view is fantastic. Other than that, it is a bit out of the main town for other activities and a bit of a trek to any beach. The breakfast choice is very good and we enjoyed eating on the open air terrace every morning. However, it became very busy and noisy with screaming babies at times and anti-social guests conducting business meetings at full volume. We got checked in early at no extra cost and our room was good - comfortable and with the same excellent sea view from our balcony. The Sky Bar is also a very nice setting. Service throughout is quite good and if you turn down room service for a day you get a couple of free drinks tokens. The pool was fine and there was reasonable food and drink service around the pool.

Cons:

The hotel is a bit of a mixed bag and overall falls short of 5*. The decking area around the pool is scruffy and damaged in places with raised screw heads and splinters. On occasions there were insufficient sun beds and some of them were in a poor state of repair. As mentioned above, I thought the breakfast area was too busy at times to enjoy a relaxing start to the day. I would not say this was a hotel for families. Another disappointing issue for us was that when we checked out we were not offered an itemised bill of bar charges - we were told it would be emailed later. The amount charged sounded high and when we got the bill, it was clear that we had been overcharged by 191 Euros. On checking the date, it was for the night of the Spain v France game and we hadn't even visited the bar that night. To be fair, on contacting the hotel, they offered a full reimbursement of this charge, which I am waiting for now. Make sure you get an itemised bill and check it carefully before paying - we were on a 0645 checkout and had to get moving!

Four star hotel
Pros:

If you have been to five star hotels, you’ll know as soon as you walk in that this is not a five star hotel. The hospitality is not up to par with what you pay for. Pool staff is disorganized, staff at the front is not welcoming as soon as you walk in. They wait until you get to the desk to greet you. The sushi bar fish isn’t fresh at all it sits in the sun all day.

Simply exceptional!
Pros:

I’m only halfway through my stay here, but I’m so pleased I feel I can already give feedback on this hotel.

Despite the initial quirks, once settled, this hotel is simply exceptional! The first impression was odd:
- No doorman, and no clear indication where the entrance door is . The front is just a big glass and the actual entrance has the same handle as a fire exit door, so we half expected an alarm to go off when we got in.
- The receptionist explains the restaurants but there’s no clear explanation what’s included in the Full/half board (Turns out, everything is included).
- Not all staff appear to know what’s included in the full/half board with conflicting information provided.
- Check-in start after 3pm. Therefore if you arrive in the morning, you’re in bad luck, the board only starts after check-in. Not a disaster as there’s plenty of options just 5mn from the hotel. However, it wasn’t clarified at the check-in so we went to the Grill just to be turned away.

So here’s the tip: All restaurants are included in the boarding options. However, all requires booking except for the Grill by the swimming pool. The restaurants that require booking DEFINITELY are worth it! The One is simply exceptional and it is quite incredible it is included in the boarding.
All other options are really good including the walk-in grill - I cannot recommend enough the fresh grilled fish, or surf and turf. It is by far the best food I have had from a hotel/resort.
The breakfast is again the best in class! Delicious fresh fruits, omelettes (very well) made on order from the lovely & friendly Senegalese chef (Sorry I could not read his name badge) who cares to ask for the done level of eggs rather than overcook them.
Which leads me to the staff - The ones at the reception are super friendly and THE ONLY ONES to trust for information. I would not try and stop a passing employees as we received contradicting information from them.
Bruno from the Grill is soooo friendly, funny and always give us such a warm welcome, as well as very useful local tips.
The swimming pool & area somehow looks on the smaller side compared to other resorts we have been, but it never felt crowded nor did we ever had difficulty finding seats. The view from the swimming pool is exceptional.
The hotel also offers a free Tuk Tuk service which is quirky and fantastic. Uber is cheap so it’s easy to get around, but it’s definitely a plus.

Past the initial quirks, this hotel is simply exceptional and way exceeded my expectations! Food & service are best in class which makes this resort a no-brainer in case we are looking to come back in the area.
