Throughly enjoyable
Pros:

Everything was perfect from checking in, the friendly staff. The room was spacious & super clean! The bed was HUGE and so comfortable! We played darts and had food in the bar area and really enjoyed it! We do visit often to watch football matches, play darts & to eat there, we’ve also stayed a few times & find ourselves just wanting to stay again. The pool and gym facilities are 10/10. I would most definitely recommend the village hotel.

Cons:

Nothing. 10/10

Pros:

We liked the location, nice for a walk along the river, and ideal access to Maidstone studios.

Cons:

The restaurant was a little dirty, crumbs on the seating and on the floor around the tables, the lad on the bar neads alot of credit as he seemed to be running everything on his own, so we'll done him.

Ok but better nearby
Pros:

Nice location, good size room

Cons:

No aircon. Huge mistake. Won’t come back because of this. Starbucks closed. Pool limited hours. £10 day to park.

Pros:

Very nice place to stay and beautiful surroundings. The room was clean. Beds were very comfortable. The food at breakfast was good.

Cons:

There was no phone in the room and when I needed to enquire about something, I had to walk downstairs to reception.

Good place few things to adjust
Pros:

I liked everything about it they have lovely posh coffee and tea facilities, they supply shampoo, conditioner and bodywash and there's lovely drawers to put your clothes in. Oh and the shower was nice too. Very comfortable.

Cons:

The only thing I didn't like was I found toenails in the bathroom and rubbish under bed and found the back of someone's earing on the floor in plain site. And I had to ask the cleaner to change my pillow case it was dirty. So not Impressed with the cleaning staff.

Top price but not what I booked.
Pros:

Clean and good location for my needs

Cons:

No air conditioning in a heatwave not ideal. Booked a double and got a twin. Asked if I could change they said they’d check but didn’t and continued to cut my key to the twin room.

Our room was incredibly hot, despite the reasonable weather, no AC and windows barely opened.
Pros:

Close to motorway

Cons:

We were very disappointed with our stay.

The biggest issue was the temperature in the room. It was unbearably hot, easily over 30°C, despite the weather outside not being particularly extreme the whole week (no heatwave + cool nights). There was no air conditioning, and the windows only opened a small amount, so there was simply no way to cool the room down.

We stayed in a family room with our two young children, including a 7 month old baby. Trying to get a baby to sleep in such a hot room while also keeping them comfortable and safe was quite stressful. Instead of getting a good night's rest after travelling, we spent the evening trying to cope with the heat.

At around £155 for one night (without breakfast included) we expected a comfortable room. Basic temperature control is not an unreasonable expectation at this price point. Unfortunately, the excessive heat made what should have been a relaxing stay very uncomfortable.

Pros:

The hotel was very nice staff were lovely and very attentive and friendly 😀

Cons:

The heat in the room was like sleeping in HELL. Fans where provided but they were useless in the extreme heat and just blew hot air. Myself and 3 others I travelled with had zero sleep because of the heat

Should have gone to Travelodge
Pros:

I booked through Booking.com. I booked 2 nights but they only put me in for one. The room was stifling hot, the two fans they had in the room were ineffective. So much so that my sheets were wringing wet in the morning. For a menopausal woman it was torture. I had to book an extra night while I was there but they couldn’t give me the same room, so I had to pay another £180 and it DIDN’T EVEN INCLUDE BREAKFAST.

Cons:

The fans supplied were ineffective and a waste of money having them there.

Not worth the money : would not go back
Pros:

We didn’t have breakfast as it was nearly an extra £13 per person on top of the genius rate of £137 .

Cons:

Didn’t like the view from our room , didn’t like not having any bottled water in our room considering the weather , didn’t like how bad the two fans were in our room and didn’t like having to pay for £5 parking even though my husband has a disabled badge ! The hotel seemed more concerned about profit than the customers!

Pros:

The beds were extremely comfy and the room was actually lovely

Cons:

Had no hot water all night because of a water pipe issue, i understand it’s not anyone’s fault and out of the staffs control but it was still not nice to have to take a freezing cold shower. The pool was very loud too a lot of jumping and diving when there are signs saying no diving so I don’t know why bother having a life guard if people are still doing this

Pros:

Room was clean. Staff were pleasant. Breakfast was ok.

Cons:

The room was uncomfortably hot due to lack of air conditioning and made sleeping difficult.
We had difficulty finding a space as the car park was not big enough for the amount of guests. Parking was not free, which we feel it should have been.

Frustrating stay overall don't bothering staying.
Pros:

Reception Grill bar area was nice. The pool looked lovely but didn't use it. The room was spacious, and the bed was very high (princess and the pea), but NO AIR CONDITIONING!!! It was ridiculous. Had 2 fans who were useless in the heat. Even on a warm night, the room would have been over hot !!! In a HEATWAVE, it was too uncomfortable. Up stupidly early just to sit downstairs to feel cool. Eat in restaurant and food was OK.

Cons:

Hated NO AIR CONDITIONING.was a room for three, but only towels left for 1, cups and glasses for 2. Batteries did not work I n remote. I wouldn't stay with Village Hotels again.

Could have been better.
Pros:

Hotel was lovely, spacious rooms, few things let it down. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was lovely.
The hotel were very professional and resolved our concerns/complaints quickly and we were satisfied.

Cons:

They did not have any ac in the rooms, no fridge or water. The fridge was absolutely necessary for us as we had insulin that we needed to store. The hotel offered to store it in the reception fridge. No water in the room. It was extremely hot weather and a lack of the above 3 just made the stay really uncomfortable.
