Not as great as years past but still great views. Great location. Good restaurants
Pros:

This is my 4th or 5th time staying at Dunes Village. Usually I am extremely happy with my stay (obviously since I’ve been back for years). The location is great. Lots of pools. Two good restaurants.

Cons:

This year I was not happy with the check in. The woman working at the desk was super sweet to the gentleman in front of me and I came up next and her tone was extremely different. Indifferent and kinda rude. My room wasn’t ready which is fine. She didn’t give me keys for the garage like they usually do. I had to ask another worker. Then my room was ready 5 min later after I went downstairs so had to go back up. Which was fine. Walked into the room and smelled mildew. Carpet was dusty and wet. Never had that issue before. Had to go buy air freshener. Shower curtain was too short so water got all over during the shower (probably didn’t help mildew smell). Not sure if I was lucky in years past or unlucky this time. With the price I paid for my only vacation for the year, I was a little disappointed this year.

Happy Time at the Dunes!
Pros:

I liked the amenities for the children that also compensated adults like the pools and slides! The room was clean, we had 2 TVs, the beds were very comfortable, the lobby smelled extremely clean and was nice and cool and the gentleman that welcomed us to the property in the driveway was extremely helpful and kind. I really enjoyed my stay at the property even though it was way too short, I would have been happy to stay for an extended time and actually wish that I could have! I'm not sure what the star rating is for the Dunes but, I give it 5+ even in comparison to some of the so-called high rating hotels that cost twice or three times as much!

Cons:

I can't say that there was really anything I didn't like except maybe I had trouble finding the ice machine so, Big Whoop!
