Pool area was good
Not informed regarding limited parking due to Range Rover photo shoot. Only bottom car park was available, which was a long way from Room 219. Absolutely unacceptable.
The way staff handled my sister-in-law's 80th birthday treat at Rick Stein restaurant
I was dissappointed with the menu at the main restaurant and thai fish cakes.
Spacious room with comfortable bed. Good continental breakfast. Lovely staff.
Some noise from adjoining rooms.
Loved the room, spacious and comfortable. The weather wasn't good during our stay, cold and wet, so we didn't use the pool, although it looked lovely, or any of the outdoor facilities.
We were disappointed that the Mexican Restuarant wasn't open the first night we were there, Wednesday, Must have missed the opening hours in the fine print somewhere and we were booked into Rick Steins for the second night.
The outdoor pool area
The garden view from room 304 was poor - overlooking the garden from the balcony, had leaves all over the lawn and it looked unkept - it needs landscaping to make that area of the garden look as good as the front entrance. Improve the outlook - its a forgotten area and disappointing for guests looking out from their balcony - a large tree on the left hand side of the balcony needed to be cut back
The staff were amazing, the location spectacular, service exceptional and the food and drinks to die for.
Enjoyed breakfast restaurant the room had a romantic feel about the place will come back
Location and nice outdoor area
Overall staff were friendly but appeared under staffed over the Kings birthday weekend. One young lady serving in the Mexican restaurant replied when asked politely if there was another dish, "I've only got one pair of hands"!
One of the rooms we booked had bad case of ants in the bathroom.
Convenient, casual but excellent food and service.
