The couple staying next to my room were smoking last night, and unfortunately, the cigarette smoke made its way into my room, even though all the doors were closed. The smell was quite strong and lingered in the room throughout the night.

The food service was overpriced and the wait was over 2 hours. The breakfast included is not good value for money. It’ll be better if it was a buffet table instead of waiting for so long.

Unfortunately, breakfast was a real disappointment. We waited over 30 minutes just to receive our tea and coffee, followed by another half an hour for scrambled eggs and bacon. An hour is an excessive wait for such a simple breakfast, and the gluten-free bread was particularly unpleasant.

Accessibility is another significant concern. The property has numerous stairs and no lifts, making it extremely difficult for guests with mobility limitations. While ramps are provided in some areas, several lead directly to more stairs, which rather defeats their purpose! This is something potential guests with disabilities really need to be aware of before booking.

Housekeeping could also use a little more attention to detail. Although our room was generally clean, there were makeup marks on the back of the bathroom door and someone else’s hair in the shower.

Waited a long time for dinner & breakfast on a public hoildays :/

No mini bar and no room service. This was annoying because there's nowhere nearby to buy a snack or drink.

Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing, particularly considering we spent around $20,000 on my sister’s wedding at this venue.
We had family and friends who travelled hours to attend the wedding, with more than 20 guests also booking rooms at the venue for the night. Given the importance of the occasion and the effort everyone made to be there, we expected a high level of service and hospitality. Sadly, that was not what we experienced.
The views were beautiful, and the wedding planner was absolutely amazing on the day. She went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly and was genuinely the highlight of our experience.
Unfortunately, the experience with management and a number of staff was very different. We found the staff to be rude, dismissive and unprofessional throughout the night. I personally witnessed the General Manager yelling at staff, as well as speaking rudely to other guests who were trying to raise legitimate complaints.
The service was also extremely slow. We waited over 40 minutes for drinks, and the following morning our drinks didn't arrive until after we had finished breakfast.
When I raised my concerns with the General Manager, she told me to my face that she "wouldn't be so rude if the guest wasn't rude." This was simply not the case, and I found the comment completely inappropriate and unprofessional.
What made this even more disappointing was hearing similar complaints from our own family and friends who had travelled hours to attend the wedding and stayed overnight. Many of our 20+ guests who booked rooms also commented on the rude treatment they received from the General Manager.
The cleanliness and basic room amenities were also disappointing. Our room had no water jug or bottled water in the fridge, no garbage bags and no proper bin for rubbish.

No parking on arrival due to a wedding maybe this could have been mentioned when we booked that parking is not guaranteed.
Food was luke warm for dinner
Waited over 90 mins for breakfast and it was also luke warm. Minimal staff seemed to be on and things seemed to be disorganised.

The facilities opening hours weren’t great and staff not very accomodating.

Shocked you could not avoid hazardous steps. Access to room to avoid numerous, steep stairs/steps was a dangerous neglected path with several trip hazards faintly coloured and invisible in the darkness. Poor lighting for night. Steps from the path to the car park were sloped and you stepped off onto a slope. The rail was thick, triangular splintered wood.
It all felt very hazardous and frankly terrible from a safely point of view.
We are shocked the place is functioning with those neglected issues.
The service in the restaurant was incredibly slow even when not busy; overwhelming for the one hardworking waiter and one staff in the kitchen. Several dishes were served barely warm.
There was no switch for the fan in the bathroom.
