Don’t miss the sand dunes!
Pros:

Great all inclusive and service, particularly good at Gaudi restaurant and certain staff in Lobby bar very impressive. However, no welcome drink on arrival despite booking a Privilege suite. WiFi in room was slow and unreliable. Rewards loyalty scheme seems to be managed within accounts/IT rather than the marketing department.
Dinner at Gaudi and Sakura both excellent. Best looking bar, Naturalia, only had one person serving but restaurant next door was a great option for lunch, lovely terrace.

Fabulous hotel with a heated outdoor pool, delicious food, super staff, sports and close to the beach- enjoy!
Pros:

We had a wonderful February half term stay at H10 Playa Meloneras Horizons Collection.
The staff were very welcoming, professional and attentive. The facilities were brilliant, our 9 year old loved playing football, tennis and padel as well as enjoying the kids club where he made friends each day. The staff at the kids club were great and would cater to what the kids wanted to do and what their interests were.
The pool was warm which was heavenly, just what we needed after escaping the long cold winter back in the UK! It's hard to find a hotel with an outdoor heated pool in February so we were all delighted and enjoyed spending many happy hours in and out the pool.
The food was exceptional! We were given the opportunity to upgrade to halfboard on check in, as we had just booked B&B, and as it was a great price we accepted - we are so glad we did! There was an incredible selection of freshly cooked foods with influences from all over the world, fab cooking stations and amazing desserts - delicious!
The location is great, you can enjoy early morning strolls or jogs along the paved coastal path that leads to the town where there are plenty of shops and restaurants to choose from.
The entertainment in the evening was good, my son loved the short quiz every night and then would play pool in the lounge area - he didn't want to leave!
I would absolutely recommend this hotel and look forward to returning!

Relaxing solo stay in great hotel.
Pros:

I stayed here in May as a solo traveller and had a really enjoyable holiday. Check-in was smooth and the reception staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay.

I upgraded to privilege all-inclusive and for me it was definitely worth it mainly because of the quieter areas and access to the privilege lounge. The all-inclusive option worked very well and I especially enjoyed the à la carte restaurants, which were much better than I expected from an all-inclusive hotel. Particularly loved the restaurant called Gaudi. A first class dining experience.

The bar staff were always welcoming and attentive and the service around the hotel was consistently good. I also appreciated the information sent before arrival about transfers and hotel facilities, as it made everything much easier to organise before travelling.

The hotel grounds are beautifully kept and the location near the Meloneras promenade was perfect for evening walks. Overall, I had a very relaxing stay and would happily return to HT Playa Meloneras horizon collection. Hopefully this year.

Just marvellous.
Pros:

I recently stayed at the H 10 Playa Meloneras Horizon collection on an all-inclusive privilege package and had a wonderful experience from start to finish.

From the moment I arrived the reception staff were welcoming professional and extremely helpful, making check-in effortless and ensuring I had everything I needed throughout my stay. The pre-arrival communication regarding transfers and arrival information was also excellent and made the entire journey from the airport seamless and stress free.

The bar staff were attentive friendly and always provided exceptional service with a smile, creating a very relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere around the hotel.

The à la carte restaurants were outstanding with a fantastic variety of high-quality food and excellent service each evening. Every dining experience felt special and was one of the highlights of my holiday.

I particularly was pleased that I upgraded to the all-inclusive privilege level, as it exceeded all my expectations and perfectly met my requirements. The additional benefits, comfort, and overall experience made the upgrade completely worthwhile and added a real touch of luxury to the holiday. Overall, this is a beautiful maintained hotel with exceptional staff and outstanding service throughout. I would not hesitate to return and highly recommend it to anyone considering a stay in Gran Canaria.

A wonderful all inclusive experience
Pros:

What an absolutely wonderful hotel this is! If you’re after an excellent standard of food, drink and service, this is the place to be.

We stayed here 7-17 May 2026 in standard rooms 204 and 205 on an standard all inclusive basis. Check in was friendly and informative and I like that there were seats to sit on whilst talking to the receptionist - you don’t get that everywhere. We later learned that the hotel provides a welcome drink, a few nibbles and hot towels for arriving guests at the lobby bar, but unfortunately we didn’t get this due to a very late arrival thanks to a chaotic arrival experience at Gran Canaria Airport and the bar had closed, but this is not the fault of the hotel. After check in we were directed to the main restaurant where a little salad and cold cuts buffet had been left for late arrivals - I wasn’t expecting this at all which I think is a nice touch. However it wasn’t obvious the restaurant was open for us as it was very dark, which confused us for a second until a member of staff directed us in.

Our rooms were comfortable and did their job - to me a room is just a room, especially when you aren’t spending much time in it. One thing we did note was that both our showers didn’t hold their temperature very well, you’d get a blast of colder water every now and then, but I’m assuming this is just due to many people showering simultaneously at peak times.

Food: wow, the food! You will not go hungry! This is the best buffet restaurant food I’ve had anywhere. Breakfast consisted of your usual breakfast staples along with eggs and omelette cooking stations and even a fresh honey stand. Note to the Brits: you won’t see English sausages or English back bacon every day - at least I didn’t - but who goes on holiday to eat what they eat at home? Evening meal was fantastic - every night there was show cooking of meat and fish, and a large variety of hot and cold dishes, you could get anything from pizza to fresh seafood such as crayfish and scallops. A lot of the starters and desserts were presented beautifully in little dishes and everything was delicious. Dessert consisted of your usual dessert staples along with a signature dessert which rotated between a chocolate fountain and a fresh crepe cooking station - I’ve never seen a dessert cooking station before! Lunch was a similar standard to dinner, but there was a lot less variety due to fewer guests being on full board or all inclusive - but was still a high standard.

If you are on all inclusive you can also dine once a week at one of the à la cartes - we chose the teppenyaki restaurant which was a superb experience! I love Asian cuisine and the food was wonderful and it was great to watch it all be prepared in front of you.

Bars: if you are all inclusive you are in for a treat! This is the most generous all inclusive program I’ve seen outside of the Carribean - many branded spirits are included including Bombay Sapphire and Tanquerey gins - our favourites! Although I also very much enjoyed the Arehucas rum which is also included on AI and is made on Gran Canaria.

We spent most of our evenings in the lobby bar in reception - and I’d like to highlight two fantastic members of staff who were usually here - Antonio - who is the most professional bar man I’ve ever seen and clearly took much pride in his work, and never left anyone with an empty glass (always the hallmark of a good bar man!) and - I’m not sure how to spell this but I think his name was Mijael or Miguel or something similar - for his cheeky and knowledgeable service.

We also used the outdoor tropical bar before dinner which usually had some form of musician playing but it was usually extremely quiet because he was on when most people are getting dinner. This bar also closes at 9pm which is a little disappointing - especially as even in the lounge bar you can often hear the entertainment from the main bar downstairs (which we never used) so there was nowhere really for a truly quiet drink. I think it would be better if the outdoor tropical bar was, weather permitting, kept open a bit later.

We also used the spa which was a little disappointing - the entrance is beautiful but the actual spa itself looked a bit tired, some of the water jets in the pool weren’t working and the ice room wasn’t working.

The pools are lovely with plenty of sun beds including Bali beds and other comfortable padded beds - no sun bed wars here! The infinity pool did seem very cold compared to the main pool though! The main pool features your usual animation team entertainment - water aerobics, bingo, cheese tasting, that sort of thing.

The hotel is located about a 20 minute stroll along the promenade from the Faro lighthouse - the stroll takes you along the coast past some of the other high end hotels in the area before you come to an area with a mix of cheaper and much higher end shops and restaurants. There’s a gate at the lower end of the hotel open 7am to midnight - you need your wristband to open it. Meloneras is lovely - quiet enough to be relaxing but at the same time there’s still enough to do. The hotel is on a hillside but accesible - there are lifts everywhere but it can be s bit of a walk through labyrinthine corridors to get to a lift due to the design of the hotel. A taxi from the hotel into town to the Yumbo Centre is about 9 euros.

Due to having a late flight we asked to keep a room on until 6pm - this was done for us for 45 euros but note it is subject to availability and you can’t ask until the morning of check out.

Overall, this really is a wonderful hotel. It is the hotel I will benchmark any stay elsewhere at from now on - it is the one to beat for me, and I will certainly return!

Pros:

Relaxing Holiday
Pros:

We’ve just returned from our 3rd visit to the hotel! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

We booked Al-inclusive privilege package & made use of the privilege pool area. We found the atmosphere to be very relaxed and having the open drinks and snack bar area was a great addition. The pool area had ample sunbeds & parasols.

We dined mainly in the Gaudi restaurant in the evening and the buffet restaurant for lunches.
The food across the hotel was lovely - the service in the Gaudi was outstanding. We dined in the Sakura restaurant one evening, it was such a great experience. My only criticism was that I found it difficult to get time slots for the Gaudi restaurant (as you must pre-book in advance), to the effect that one evening we had to dine in the buffet restaurant as no time slots to accommodate 4 people. That was disappointing, such a relaxing hotel but you essentially need to pre-plan dinners for the week as soon as you arrive.

We stayed in room 761 & it was lovely. The house keeping team do an outstanding job, the downturns in the evening & chocolates on the pillow were a real nice touch.

We made use of the spa facilities & gym. The staff were really nice and the spa was very relaxing. It was a shame two out of the three treadmills in the gym were broken during our stay. Hopefully they are fixed soon as they are great cardio equipment (especially when you’re al-inclusive 😉)!

Other highlights included the cocktails and saxophone player & the singer out on the terrace in the evening, the Tina Turner Show was brilliant & overall the lovely and relaxing atmosphere of the hotel.

We hope to return again in the future for another week of rest and relaxation!
