Perfect location - near the ocean, near the center of the city, near the big shop. Rooms are a little bit old, but clean and well-groomed. Atmosphere is fantastic! Everyone is very nice, smile for all the time. Entertainment team is incredible fantastic. Breakfast are the same, but there is huge choise of food. Dinner are varied, a lot of fish!
-room size & balcony(corner room)
-view (ocean)
-kind staff
-the fact that on dinner you need to pay for dispenser/tap water if you don't have all inclusive
-broken fridge, shower
-all furniture and room needs updated including the A/C, lights(only small lamps), TV
-no iron
-no activities for kids (even if it's advertised on hotel website)
On arrival it looks very nice with a good reception.
Our room was okay not quite 4 star but clean it just needs refreshed.
The pool area is good with free towels lots of sunbeds but it was a quiet time.
The drinks were as you would expect but maybe not 4 star quality but we were all inclusive.
Some of the staff are great however that's where the good bit ends.
The food - not 4 star,
3 star at best. There is plenty but some of the quality is questionable. It was never more than warm. Like others before us have said, it gets repeatative and we found only a few foods we liked but there's always chips and bread .
The entertainment especially on an evening time is rubbish and there is only the lobby bar open. Day time entertainment ie Pilates & Aquafit would be fab if it did not include toddlers/children.
The acts and singers are mainly locals with little or no talent and AI package ends at 11 pm and the area is closed by midnight.
The A la Carte restaurant whilst the food is alot better its just an annexed room with no atmosphere not even back ground music.
All in all its a 3 star at best would we come back
To area yes, to the hotel no.
This is our 3rd visit to this hotel and to be honest it gets better everytime. We stayed AI.
We had a bungalow room number 2005 which overlooked the pool, large terrace, plenty of room, good shower and lots of wardrobe space.
Food was good, lots of choice, champagne breakfast, and omelette cooked to order were perfect. Drinks were good, soft drinks were from a self service machine. Water fountains at various places throughout the hotel which was great.
Weather was hit and miss but it always is this side of Tenerife.
Entertainment was fun every evening.
Staff were exceptional, always willing to help with any queries.
Hotel position was at the end overlooking the beach and a lovely walk into the town where there are lots of shops and bars, very authentic 👌
I would 100% recommend this hotel and we will be returning later in the year 😊
The hotel is lovely and clean. Its just a shame the food in the restaurant was awful and I lived on salad for a week
We have been to the Canaries many times, and this hotel is up there with the best. Arrived at 1 p.m., we didn't have to wait until 3 p.m.; our room was ready. Quick check-in. The room was very clean, and the cleaner was at our room at 10 a.m. all 8 days—10 out of 10. The pool areas are well-kept, with loads of sunbeds and clean pool towels every day. The best thing was the food. I always struggle everywhere we have stayed with dried-out bacon, so hard you can't cut it. The bacon here was perfect every day. Evening meal was not fine dining, but we hadn't paid for that. Great choices every night, loads of fresh meat, and great desserts. Tables were cleared very quickly, and food replenished straight away. The value for money was excellent in this hotel. Thank you to all the staff; we will be back.
Great location, good rooms, poolside clean and well maintained.
Generally, the hotel is fair value, however there are pitfalls. Parking fees are ridiculous. All inclusive buffet is just about average, reasonable choice but not great.
The bar is typical of an all inclusive option, though cocktails aren't particularly good.
Do not touch the A la Carte restaurant with a bargepole. It is shocking. We went to the Italian night and the food was embarrassing, service poor and the Maitre d' couldn't give a jot. We didn't finish our meal and no-one cared.
My wife and I visited the hotel over Easter 2026. We travelled by Easy Jet Holidays.
The staff at reception were excellent and we had no problems booking in /out and they were always there with a smile when we chatted.
As many people have mentioned the hotel was built some time ago, it is immaculately maintained and the cleanliness is outstanding. The gardens and the pool area are well kept.
We had a sea view room well worth the small extra charge.
Many reviewers have commented on the buffet food, overall the food was good, breakfast was a joy. There were sometimes flat spots in the Lunch and Dinner choices, but we did not starve and we always found some thing that was good to eat.
All the staff were excellent in the resturaunt staff , the reception staff, the housekeeping staff and the bar staff, thanks to you all for making our holidays really enjoyable.
The location of the hotel in Puerta de la Cruz means that the weather my be a bit changeable and it was but the hotel is within walking distance of the town, the sea front and all the amenities.
My wife and I have holidayed on both sides of the Atlantic and we feel it is unfair to
to compare the all inclusive deals and the the level of accommodation and food on offer due to the vast differential in wages and costs.
Over all my wife and I we very happy with our stay at the Bahia San Felipe. And yes we will go back.
If you are a Coeliac then bread is available.
Top tip Get a sea view room an a high floor the views are incredible,
Not aimed at thsi hotel just general point is;
When you have a double room why oh why is there only one stand for one suitcase.
Hoteliers take note.
Our 4-night stay was one of the worst experiences we’ve had in the hotel industry. The entertainment was cancelled twice without any prior notice. We let our kids stay up late specifically for these shows, only for them to end up exhausted and disappointed. Management didn’t even bother to announce the cancellations; we only realized it when the basic daytime activities just kept looping.
The service gaps didn't stop there. We had to constantly ask for basic necessities like fresh towels. The food options were incredibly limited, and we were nickel-and-dimed for everything—including paid parking and a fee just to use the safe (locker) inside our own room. You have to beg for every basic service here. Avoid this hotel if you value communication and basic hospitality.
Good stay in nice hotel , great clean room, and food buffet was good as well
9 out of 10
Lovely location...lovely sea views..pools really lovely...spotless clean...freindly staff...entertainment dated..bingo..karaoke..quiz...the food is very basic...staff top up food on top of food that has sat for a while...all plates are cold so by the time you get back to table so is food..we got a meal in the Mediterranean restaurant..that was well below average...staff didn't even ask if all was OK when they picked up my full plate..never had such a failure of a lasagne...
