We couldn’t get the NZ TV Free channels - was frustrating.
The huge spotlight in driveway was so annoying.
We would have like to have dined in house but it was too expensive.

Have wanted to stay here for years!! So glad I did!!
Pros:

The staff were amazing!!
Overworked and short staffed, but so helpful & friendly!!

Excellent location, lovely staff, easy check in, comfy bed, good sized room and had everything we needed.

Cons:

Our room had very creaky floors - just an fyi if you are putting wee ones to sleep and trying to be quiet 😅

Very pleasant stay in a hotel which reflects its bygone charm.
Pros:

An old and dated hotel but still has charm. Very large room and bathroom, easy access to the carpark and small private terrace - very pleasant for a solo elderly traveller.

We had a great time, met up with family. Had a wonderful few days.
Pros:

Breakfast was great, accommodation was really good. Rooms lovely and warm. And everything was very convenient. Walked everywhere. Great value for money. 👍

Great staff, comfortable room, good price. Lovely old building
Pros:

Loved the historal nature of this hotel being the old Hamner Springs Hotel. The grounds were beautiful. Even though the Edit has stripped it back to offer affordable accommodation for your average traveller I think they did a great job of retaining the original features of the hotel which hopefully can be reinstated at a later date.
Restaurant is lovely and dinner was great. Breakfast fairly basic but still adequate.
