Good basic hotel
Pros:

Location was great. I chose the hotel because of its location to the theatre we visited. Friendly staff on reception.

Cons:

Not enough pillows and towels. 1 pillows each with spare in the wardrobe. Towels were just one bath sheet each, no hand towels. Robes would have been a nice extra
I booked a room with a view but was told on arrival that I was that days prized guest and that the room had been upgraded to a room with a view of the Shard and a coffee machine, which was exactly what I booked!

Wunderbar und jederzeit gerne wieder.
Pros:

Freundliche Mitarbeiter*innen, Gestaltung (besonders der Aufzüge) und inkludierte Popcornmaschine als Highlight für die Kinder, die Zimmer wurden regelmäßig gewissenhaft gereinigt, super Lage.

Creative & Quirky Theatre-vibe!
Pros:

What a fun hotel! For a budget property, there is a personality about this place. I loved the lobby and bar area, with leather couches, oversized velvet chairs, and a vintage Theatre and Film vibe.

I expected breakfast to be the basic cereal and bagel fare. But Ibis Styles offers a full array of cooked items, breads, baguettes, croissants, pastries, (yes, cereal), meats, cheeses, fruit, and multiple coffee and tea options. The breakfast room is large and serviced by a hard working team. It's connected to a private courtyard.

I like to put in little personal fun notes to the staff when I book a room. This time, when I checked in, the person at the desk responded with a bright "oh, that's you! I saw your request this morning!" She seemed to get a kick out of finding a room that responded to my note. Great personal touch!

I've stayed in Bloomsbury, Kensington, Stratford (London), The City, and Lambeth. Though one of my favorite parts of the city is along the South Bank, this is the first time I chose to stay in Southwark, and this hotel ranks up among my favorites! Great value for the money. I'll likely stay here again.

Cons:

The location near Borough Market is convenient and still easily walkable to everywhere; I wish we had been just a bit closer to a Tube station. Not a huge complaint though.
