When booking 5 rooms or more, guests will need to contact the hotel for group sales department. Guests can't book multiple reservations with the threshold of 4 rooms.
River Edge Inn is a Small-Dog Friendly Hotel that welcomes small dogs up to 50 lbs. Small dogs are charged at $40.00 plus tax NIGHTLY, per small dog and the guest is charged an additional and refundable $250.00 incidental deposit, per reservation. A maximum of two small dogs per guest room is permitted. Strictly no other kind of pet is permitted on property. Guests that do NOT register their small dog(s) are subject to a $500.00 plus tax penalty.
Small dogs may be left unattended in the guest room, however, no stayover amenities will be delivered by housekeeping if there is/are dog(s) in the guest’s room.
Moreover, if the small dog(s) become(s) a noise disturbance to other guests, or River Edge Inn management; front desk; or any employee, receives other dog-related complaints from the guest’s room, the guest must return to take their small dog(s) with them.
River Edge Inn will NOT release the $250 incidental deposit in the event of small dog(s) damaging the room and its contents by, but not limited to, urinating; fouling; hair-shedding etc., and/or causing a noise disturbance that is not attended to by the guest(s). Small dogs are permitted in specific rooms only; small dog-friendly rooms can be requested by contacting River Edge Inn's direct line (865) 436-9292. Dogs are NOT permitted in the office or breakfast area, or in the pool area, per public health laws.
Registered service animals, that are dogs, are welcome in accordance with current ADA standards. Emotional support animals, that are dogs, are NOT considered to be service animals by the ADA, or River Edge Inn. A guest, whose registered service animal is a noise disturbance or causes damage to the room and its contents as outlined above, will also be subject to the same $250.00 cleaning fee. Great location to get into Smokey Mountain National Park. Easy walking access to restaurants and shopping as well. We really liked the balcony. There were 2 sinks in the room which was very convenient!
This isn't anything that can be helped, but our room was fairly close to the dumpsters and those get emptied pretty early in the morning!
The room was great love the space and comfort. I like how there are two sinks one outside the bathroom and one inside. Shampoo, conditioner and body soap liquid were supplied. Has frig and microwave and coffee for the room. Small breakfast for grab and go. No a bad location especially if you want to go to Ober which is okay. But walking distance to everything.
More variety of drinks for the morning breakfast only had coffee, milk and water.
It was great. It's off the beaten path. It was close to the main street. But far enough away without the main road problem
The location is great, our room was well maintained and very clean. The front office staff was very welcoming. We will definitely stay there again, again and again..
Location, but there are no balconies over the “river” slightly misleading name
No maid service at all on a four night stay. We were provided lotion and a bar soap, but no shampoo or conditioner. Also I don’t feel like the price was appropriate for the value.
The most comfortable bed and blankets I have ever had in a motel!

I was told our dog could come but never told us it was $40 extra every night until the morning before we arrived. Also wasn't told the put a $250 hold on my credit card. I would not recommend it to anyone
Staff were friendly. Room was good. Everything worked. They were happy for my business and it felt like they tried to earn it back.

The location was excellent. It was a short walk to downtown Gatlinburg. The rooms appeared to be recently updated and were very nice. The staff seemed to be friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean.
The recently updated rooms had very dim lighting, except in the bathroom. I have no idea why. The breakfast was a grab and go so, there were limited items to choose from. The worse part of our stay was the "nominal" incidental fee that I was unprepared for. They put $100 hold on my card that took almost a week to drop off. I'm not sure what their idea of "nominal" is, but I don't think $100 is part of that equation. Luckily I brought a card that I used for just incidental fees during our travels. We spent 7 nights at 7 different hotels and inns and this was the only one the charged so much for incidentals (most ranging from $1 min to $50 max) and the rest dropped off my card within 2 work days.
